  • Publication number: 20210186143
Abstract: A support customising system is described for a sole of a shoe. The sole includes a relatively soft, resilient midsole and an a harder outsole. Hard insert elements are provided for inserting into vertical cavities in the midsole. By varying the hardnesses of different inserts in different vertical cavities, a precisely-tunable pronation control effect on the wearer's gait can be effected. First-order, second-order and third-order pronation control effects are described. Measures are provided for improving the accuracy of the proprioceptive (sensory motoric) effect on the wearer's foot, for example by limiting the ingress of dirt or water.

  • Patent number: 8833145
Abstract: A method for determining a soot concentration in an engine oil of internal combustion engines, in which method a defined quantity of the engine oil is conducted with a defined flow speed along and/or through a measurement path. In a region of the measurement path, the engine oil is acted on with energy from at least one energy source in such a way that the soot particles contained in the engine oil at least partially absorb the energy. An energy quantity absorbed in the measurement path region is subsequently detected, and from this a soot concentration in the engine oil is determined. A device for determining the soot concentration in the engine oil of internal combustion engines is provided for performing the method.

  • Patent number: 6678592
Abstract: A method and a device are proposed for controlling a setting element in a vehicle, in which at preestablished operating states a self test is carried out for driving the setting element. Before carrying out the self test, a drive signal quantity of preestablished magnitude is transmitted to the setting element, the quantity leading to a preestablished deflection of the setting element, and thereafter the setting element is once again returned to its initial position.

  • Patent number: 4553618
Abstract: A weighing cell, in which the weight forces of the load are compensated by deformation or electromechanical forces, includes a load carrier which receives the load, a mechanical-electrical load-measuring cell, and an acceleration meter which experiences the same vertical accelerations as the weighing cell. The load cell and the acceleration meter are connected electrically with one another such that the measuring signal which is adulterated by the acceleration action is corrected correspondingly. The load cell has an output signal (A+a) comprising a weighing signal (A) superposed by a spurious signal (a) due to such acceleration. A subtractor receives the output signal (A+a). The output signal of the acceleration meter is balanced to a value (a').
