  • Patent number: 5631510
Abstract: An electric drive with brakes, in particular for hoists, lifting devices or positioning transporting systems, having a brake disk which is movable axially on a motor shaft so as to rotate therewith via a toothing. The brake disk has brake faces at both sides and can be pressed against a stationary counter-brake disk by a spring force. An electromagnetic device is provided which, when connected to current, causes the brake to be released against the spring force. The electromagnetic device has a.c. magnets and E-shaped magnet coil yokes. The counter-pole faces associated with the coil yokes are arranged at magnet yokes which can move angularly on all sides so that the counter-pole faces can be aligned at the end faces of the E-shaped magnet coil yokes located opposite thereto when current is applied to the a.c. magnet.

  • Patent number: 5480125
Abstract: A hoist with a lifting device, by way of which a load suspension device connected with the lifting device via a traction mechanism can be raised and lowered, and with a control device which is arranged between the load suspension device and the traction mechanism and includes a housing with a handle for manipulating the load suspension device. Switching members are arranged in the housing for controlling the lifting device, and a high-strength connecting member is fastened in the housing, with the traction mechanism and the load suspension device being fastened to the connecting member. The housing is divided into a mechanical part with the handle for receiving an actuating mechanism for the switching members and into an electrical part for receiving the switching members with the connecting member being arranged between the mechanical part and the electrical part.

  • Patent number: 5188478
Abstract: A force-transmitting, cone-shaped press-fit connection of metallic materials is provided between a shaft, an axle, or a pin and a hub, a disk, a wheel, or the like. An integral joint is formed with an anaerobic adhesive disposed in the residual roughness intermediate spaces of a joint slot adjoining a pressed-in conical seat having an oversize. The axial securing of the cone press-fit connection against loosening is performed predominantly via the integral joint formation.

  • Patent number: 5170995
Abstract: A compact hoist with a central hoist housing and an enclosed transmission located opposite a motor. The output shaft, of the motor, is guided coaxially through a transmission output shaft that is hollow and supports a sprocket wheel, or similar device, and receives power from the transmission. The hoist is particularly easy and economical to assemble, service and repair, and is flexible when in use. In a preferred embodiment, the motor shaft is mounted in a transmission cover opposite the motor and the transmission-output shaft is mounted, on one side in the wall of the hoist housing, and on the other side in an end plate of the motor. That configuration makes the invention particularly suitable for automatic assembly.

  • Patent number: 5130592
Abstract: A device for increasing the magnetic axial force of the displacement type armature motor in motors is provided. The device comprises an iron ring (10) furnished with an outer chamfer (11) matching with the conical course of the rotor (6). The spring-loaded pretensioning of the iron ring (10) suffices for the attachment of the brake support casing (7) on the support ribs (8). The iron ring can be permanently and reliably attached to the rotor motor at low expenditure.

  • Patent number: 4877987
Abstract: The rotor is held on a shaft by means of a membrane providing an easy resilient deflection in axial direction and being stiff for torque transmission in azimuthal direction. The membrane is star-shaped, or has spiral arms or is of polygonal configuration. A membrane carrier is connected to a central part of the membrane or to polygon corner points; the rotor, through a sleeve extension of a short circuiting ring is connected to peripheral points of the membrane. The carrier is splined to or slip friction coupled to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4773691
Abstract: A crane wheel is adjustably mounted in the web structure of a crane carriage, head carrier, or the like by a bearing holders on each side of the wheel. The bearing holders are individually, pivotably fixed to the web structure by aligned clamping sleeves above axle. Two pendulum-type bearings in the necks of the holders journal the wheel axle. Adjusting screws mounted on the carriage abut cam stops on the bearing holders to adjustably fix the orientation of the wheel axles, including the plane of rotation of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 4565352
Abstract: A motor with output shaft is coupled to an input shaft of a planetary gear system inside a case which in turn is disposed in the winch drive. The output shaft of the transmission gear traverses the other end of the case and is connected to a web plate of the winch drum by means of a spline shaft. On one end of the winch drum, the casing for the transmission gear and the shield of the motor are interconnected and connected to a principle frame and the winch drum is journaled thereat through roller bearings using cylindrical surfaces of the case and the drum directly as races. The winch drum is journaled at the other end through appropriate bearings in the principle carrier frame.

  • Patent number: 4550664
Abstract: A track wheel has an axially extended hollow hub with internally directed gear teeth capable of receiving an outer toothed driving shaft. The hub is supported by roller bearings in a bearing box from which the wheel may not be inadvertently removed once the box halves have been welded together. The sides of the bearing box have bores in appropriate locations which serve to allow the box to be fastened in a variety of configurations to the element to be transported by the track wheel. The side surfaces of the two halves of the bearing box are provided with recesses for flush and precise arrangement of the roller bearings such that the box can be flushly mounted to other elements. The roller bearings are secured within the recesses by means of snap rings which fit into annular slots located on the outer cylindrical surfaces of the hub.

  • Patent number: 4385562
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to the construction of a traveling overhead crane, to enable a desired high degree of precision to be maintained in the attachment of wheel-carrying top girders to the opposite ends of a movable bridge girder. The bridge girder is provided with end plates, to which the respective wheel-carrying top girders are bolted. The end plates are formed with machined annular recesses, surrounding the bolt holes through which the top girders are attached. These machined recesses are so formed that the bottoms thereof constitute a common reference plane. Tubular sleeves of known axial dimension, are received in these recesses and serve to accurately locate the top girders with respect to the predetermined reference plane. The tubular sleeves may in some cases be very short, in the nature of thick washers, for example, or they may be elongated tubes extending through and welded to the top girders.
