From these winding subassemblies, the material webs are transported toward opposite sides, in the direction parallel to the longitudinal extent of the portal (16), to the consuming machines.

Abstract: Method and device for manufacturing hinge-lid packets for cigarettes from individual, prefabricated blanks (11) which are delivered as piles (10) of blanks. The cardboard boxes or other objects are to be set down on pallets (10). The lifting head (23) conveys a complete layer of bundle groups (16, 17) into the carton (15) from above, the compressed, reduced formation of the bundles (10) being maintained until they are deposited in the carton (15).
