  • Patent number: 8820922
Abstract: The invention relates to an eyeglass hinge, composed of two hinge parts and at least one clamp connection. Further, the invention relates to an eyeglass frame, composed of two eyeglass hinges according to the invention, two eyeglass earpieces and one lens mounting rim. The eyeglass hinge (1) according to the invention comprises two hinge parts (2, 2a) and at least one clamp connection (3), whereby the at least one clamp connection (3) holds hinge parts (2, 2a) together in an articulated manner. When force is increased, the construction of the eyeglass hinge according to the invention makes possible a problem-free exceeding of frame opening angle ? from a value of ?open which amounts to approximately 180° up to a value of ?max of approximately 186° (over-bending) and going below frame opening angle ? from a value of ?closed, which amounts to approximately 90°, down to a value of ?min of approximately 85° (under-bending).
