  • Publication number: 20220071599
Abstract: An ultrasound control unit (12) is for configuring visualization of ultrasound data using in use a display unit. The control unit is adapted to acquire ultrasound image data and to automatically control visualization of the most relevant parts and views the data, based on current levels of a number of different monitored physiological parameters. In particular, responsively to one of the physiological parameters entering or leaving a pre-defined range of values (e.g. representative of an alert or normal condition respective for the patient), the control unit determines a most appropriate anatomical region within the image data for representing the changed physiological parameter, and a most useful visualization mode (e.g. view) for presenting or showing that anatomical region within the image data. One or more display frames are generated which show the anatomical region visualized in accordance with the selected visualization mode.

  • Publication number: 20210393144
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical monitoring system controller (10) for controlling a medical monitoring system (1). The controller is configured to control the medical monitoring system such that the temporal resolution of storing measured medical parameters like blood pressure, heart rate et cetera in a storing unit (8) depends on the identification of a user like a physician or nurse, wherein the identification is preferentially an authentication of the user. In particular, the temporal resolution of storing measured medical parameters can be increased, if a user has been identified. It is therefore not required to store the medical parameter with a relatively high temporal resolution all the time, but this temporal resolution might generally be relatively low and increased, if a user has been identified. This allows for a significant reduction of the required storage capacity.

  • Patent number: 11013931
Abstract: A modular medical system employing a bedside patient monitor (20), a portable patient monitor (40), a monitor docking station (50), a therapy applicator (30) and a therapy docking station (60). In operation, the portable patient monitor (40) is docked to the bedside patient via the monitor docking station (50) whereby the bedside patient monitor (20) and the portable patient monitor (40) measure patient parameters (e.g., ECG, Sp O2, pulse rate, NIBP, Et CO2, etc.) upon the portable patient monitor (40) being coupled to a patient. Alternatively, the portable patient monitor (40) is docked to the therapy applicator (30) via the therapy docking station (60) whereby the therapy applicator (30) conditionally delivers the electrical therapy (e.g., defibrillation shock, synchronized conversion, transcutaneous pacing, etc.) to the patient upon the portable patient monitor (40) being coupled to the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210098094
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with the automated updating of a digital patient record with actual vital signs data values for the patient, thereby obviating the need for a healthcare professional attending to the patient to manually input such data values into the digital patient record. To this end, the present application provides several computer-implemented methods for capturing such vital signs data values in digital form, e.g. a photographic image or screen capture[BA1], and automatically extracting the vital signs data values captured in such a digital image therefrom, e.g. using OCR algorithms. Also provided are computer program products for implementing such methods and electronic devices configured to implement such methods.

  • Patent number: 10750129
Abstract: The invention relates to a hospital video surveillance system comprising several cameras (2, 3, 4) for acquiring video data for surveilling several patient regions (5, 6, 7). The video data are transmitted from the cameras to a display device and are used to determine physiological properties of patients, wherein the physiological properties are vital signs. The bandwidths for the transmission of the video data are allocated depending on the determined physiological properties. Thus, the bandwidth allocation considers the physiological states of the patients, which can ensure that a sufficient bandwidth is provided where it is really required. This is especially useful, if the overall bandwidth is limited. Moreover, since the video data are used for fulfilling several functions, i.e. surveilling the several patient regions and determining the physiological properties, the overall system can be very compact and less or no additional physiological sensors might be required.

  • Patent number: 10716473
Abstract: Methods and systems for automated monitoring are described herein. In various embodiments, image data of an enclosed area captured by an imaging device (102), audio data captured from the enclosed area by a sound sensor (104), and odor data captured from the enclosed area by an odor sensor (106), may be obtained by a computing device (HO). Based on the image, audio, and odor data, a determination (400) of an activity taking place within the enclosed area may be made. In various embodiments, one or more objects or persons in the enclosed area may be identified by performing image processing on the image data. The determined activity may be compared with corresponding data and parameters previously stored in a rules and schedules database (120). Based on the comparison and a decision generated by the rules and schedules database, an action may be selected to be performed.

  • Patent number: 10383581
Abstract: The display of correct and reliable operating image data which may change over the time is correctly and reliably displayed. A secured image is generated based on a source image by generating at least one secured image part. The secured image part is generated by combining a source image part of the source image with a corresponding secure pattern. The displaying of the secured image is monitored by detecting the corresponding secure pattern of the secured image part, updating the detected secure pattern, checking the currentness or correctness of the detected secure pattern.
