Patent number: 11144871Abstract: In optimized container management system, a booking request with customer locations, booking time, container type, movement mode, depot locations and depot locations stock information are received as input in a solver in a container management system received in a container management system. Based on the movement mode of booking request received by customer, solver algorithm is invoked to build a bipartite graph. A bipartite graph with nodes representing customer locations and depot locations are generated, based on the movement mode. Edges between the customer locations and the depot locations are generated based on a container balancing criteria of a solver algorithm. For remaining booking request, edges between the customer locations and the depot locations are generated based on a cost minimization criteria of the solver algorithm. The depot locations are assigned to the corresponding customer locations based on satisfying the container balancing criteria and the cost minimization criteria.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2016Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Leiyi Yao, Xin Chen, Ben Xu, Harald Hengelbrock

Patent number: 10417234Abstract: A data flow model format allows for improved data flow model creation and execution. The data flow models can provide a user with greater flexibility in selecting an appropriate data flow model, including providing information about the data flow model and selecting from multiple available data flow models. Tabular or graphical visualizations can aid the user in understanding a data flow model and retrieving desired information. Technical features such as designing a data flow with a single data output, and maintaining node identifiers in node metadata, can reduce coupling between software components and improve security and performance.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2016Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Hanmei Zhang, Philippe Nemery, Qinhe Lin, Harald Hengelbrock

Publication number: 20160042444Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a rental company, a customer's order to hire a transport equipment unit of a first type beginning on a start date. The rental company has an inventory of transport equipment units for hire and a network of diverse storage sites. The computer-implemented method further includes locating one or more transport equipment units of the first type in the rental company's inventory of transport equipment available for hire by the start date, computing the rental company's costs associated with picking up each of the located transport equipment units of the first type for delivery to the customer, and selecting, based on consideration of the rental company's picking up costs, one of the located transport equipment units for delivery to customer.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2014Publication date: February 11, 2016Inventors: Harald HENGELBROCK, Mark FINCH, Irene CHEN, Xingtian SHI, Philippe NEMERY, Terry WANG

Publication number: 20130332178Abstract: An enterprise management software system that provides configuring scoping elements based on business scenario. The enterprise management software system may executed on computing devices to perform a method. The method may comprise providing an option to perform scoping by business scenario, and upon selection of scoping by business scenario, displaying a plurality of pre-defined business scenarios. Further, the method may comprise displaying a process flow of the selected pre-defined business scenario upon selection of a pre-defined business scenario, and providing immediate changes to scoping elements based on the selected pre-defined business scenario.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2012Publication date: December 12, 2013Applicant: SAP AGInventors: Jiangtao Zhong, Harald Hengelbrock, Yingjie Han, Cheng Wang, Frank Wagner

Patent number: 8504990Abstract: An improved middleware configuration process can include extracting parameters of a manually configured customized software instance to be implemented on a tenant that provides the customized software instance providing business process-specific support tailored to a specific organization. A configuration engine can perform the extracting and can receive a designation of a first part of the parameters as relating to tenant-independent content of the customized software instance and a second part of the parameters as relating to tenant-dependent content of the customized software instance. The tenant-independent content can relate to features of a core software platform, and the tenant-dependent content can relate to at least one organization-specific extension of the core software platform that provides the business process-specific support. The tenant-dependent content can have tenant-specific content formats and tenant-specific content data defined by and available to only the tenant.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2010Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Udo Klein, Harald Hengelbrock
