  • Patent number: 4932942
Abstract: The injection equipment for an endoscope comprises a guide tube (5) to be inserted into the instrument channel of the endoscope, in which two flexible tubes (7, 9) can be slid to supply the differing viscous fluid constituents in a two constituent fabric glue. At the distal end of the flexible tubes (7, 9) a twin tubular needle (15) is fitted, with its needle tubes (11, 13) opening out separately at the distal end. In this way the two constituents only mix inside the fabric. The flexible tubes (7, 9) also have a differing internal diameter like the two needle tubes (11, 13), whereby the more viscous constituents are fed via the larger diameter flexible tube (7), to which the larger diameter needle tube (11) is also connected. Handling is thereby facilitated and there is better compliance with the correct mixture ratio for both constituents.

  • Patent number: 4503855
Abstract: The diathermy electrode comprises a flexible insulating guide tube (1) in which a flexible electrode lead (3) adapted to be connected to a diathermy current source is slidably displaceably disposed. Attached to the free end of the electrode lead (3) next to the patient is a resilient electrode snare (5) which is capable of resiliently spreading apart when slidably moved out of the guide tube (1) and which is adapted to be completely retractable into the guide tube (1) by the electrode lead (3). The end of the electrode snare (5) facing away from the electrode lead (3) is provided with a metal head (21) which prevents the snare from burning through. The snare halves (7, 9) enter the metal head (21) from the same side and form a wedge type cutter (25). The forward face (27) of the guide tube (1) is slanted to form an angle of 30.degree. to 60.degree. with the tube axis.

  • Patent number: 4467802
Abstract: A gripping instrument particularly for surgical application. A sheathed cable is associated with separate thumb and finger holds. The finger hold has a first fixed rack meshing with a pinion on a shaft associated with the thumb hold to which a cable core end is fixed. A second rack fixedly engages the cable sheath. In operation the finger hold is drawn towards the thumb hold, shifting the racks axially oppositely. In so doing the sheath is extended over a split end of the cable core drawing the free ends together in tong-like fashion without axially shifting the gripping ends.
