  • Publication number: 20070144870
Abstract: A device for stopping a continuous product stream of the products of a rotary press, with a height conveyor which has a lower loading region to which the products are supplied via a first conveying means, and an upper delivery region, from which the products are conveyed to a reception container via a second conveying means, wherein on the downstream side of the delivery region of the height conveyor a switch is assigned to the second conveying means, a third conveying device being connected to this switch, the lower end of which is assigned to the loading region of the height conveyor, so that the products are supplied to the second or third conveying means depending on the condition of the switch

  • Publication number: 20060269637
Abstract: A transfer lock for a tabletting plant, which has a casing with side walls where at least one wall has an aperture which is adapted to be closed by a first flap which is pivotable inwardly into the interior of the casing and is adapted to be locked by a locking device operable from the interior of the casing, wherein the aperture is externally surrounded by a connection profile which is adapted to be sealingly brought together with a counter-profile of a lock channel and the flap externally has a driver profile which interacts with a counter-driver profile of a second flap mounted at the end of the lock channel when the counter-profile of the lock channel is connected to the connection profile, thus allowing to pivot the two flaps into the interior of the casing when the locking device is unlocked, which integrates the connection profile into the material of the casing wall.

  • Publication number: 20060254438
Abstract: Rotary press with a rotor, rotatingly drivable around a vertical axis of rotation, which has a die plate with die bores and upper and lower punches guided in guidings, radial cams for the upper and lower punches, at least one compression station with upper and lower pressing roller, at least one filling equipment and at least one stripping device for pressed articles which are ejected from the die bores, characterised in that the rotor has an annular plane situated radially outside of the graduated circle for the die bores, which is concentric to the axis of rotation and is lowered with respect to the upper side of the die plate about a predetermined degree, first deflection means are provided which direct the ejected pressed articles to the annular plane and second deflection means are provided which direct the pressed articles from the annular plane towards the outside.

  • Publication number: 20060255506
Abstract: A method for operating a rotary press, comprising a rotor rotatably driven about a vertical axis that has a die-plate and upper and lower rams which, while being guided vertically in guides of the rotor, interact with holes of dies in the die-plate wherein at least one compression station is provided and has an upper and a lower pressing roller past which the presser rams run along and by which they are moved towards the die-bore for the purpose of compacting the material in the die-hole, wherein the upper and lower rams are lifted subsequent to the compression procedure, causing the lower ram to eject a compact from the die and the compact to be stripped by a stripper in the direction of a discharge chute, characterized in that while an compact ejection procedure is under way the upper ram stands upright on top of the compact and is lifted therewith and the stripper seizes the compact laterally while the upper ram is still standing upright on top of the compact.

  • Patent number: 6471212
Abstract: In a brush seal for sealing off the gap between a rotating and a stationary component, a plurality of radially inwardly running, elastically flexible brushes are held at one end in a basic body seated in a first of the components. They bear sealingly at the other end on the annular other component. The brushes bear, over their predominant longitudinal extent, on a guide plate. Both the basic body and the guide plate are seated in a groove of one of the components. The basic body and the guide plate are held in their mutual position by means of a wire mortised into the groove.

  • Patent number: 6308407
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a plurality of steam turbines for use in various applications which differ in the respective thermodynamic parameters such as, for example, cooling-water temperature, ambient temperature, given boiler data, process-steam requirement, etc., the steam turbines in each case having at least one high-pressure part with first blading and a control-wheel stage for part-load operation, a simplification and cost saving is achieved owing to the fact that standard blading, which is identical for all the steam turbines, is used as first blading, and in that the adaption of the individual steam turbine to the thermodynamic parameters of the respective application is carried out by appropriate design or variation of the control-wheel stage.

  • Patent number: 6270315
Abstract: To reduce the number of stages of a turbine and, associated therewith, the overall length and the costs, blading having high stage-specific enthalpy transfer is to be used. In this case, the disadvantages of conventional highly loaded blading, such as increased secondary flow losses due to blades of large chord length and comparatively small height and the design of the turbine in the complicated chamber type of construction, are to be avoided. Resulting from these requirements is a highly loaded slim blade type of construction having considerable deflection. A turbine having blading according to the invention is characterized by a loading parameter RBL, which in the HRBL blading according to the invention, in contrast to conventional types of construction, is greater than 1.
