  • Publication number: 20220013938
Abstract: An electrical connection encapsulation device for electrically connecting a flexible flat cable to discrete electrical wires. The device includes a flexible flat cable with a dielectric, planar, flexible carrier and at least one electrically conductive line attached to at least one surface, first and second flat, soft and pliable material layers attached to the first surface and the second surface of the flexible carrier, respectively, by adhesive bonds, at least one electrical connector member that is electrically connectable to a discrete electrical wire at one end and to the at least one electrically conductive line with the other end. The first and second layers are arranged to at least partially overlap the at least one electrically conductive line in the connecting end region in the perpendicular direction, and to extend beyond the end of the at least one electrical connector member that is facing away from the connecting end region.

  • Publication number: 20220005654
Abstract: A method for producing a foil-based pressure sensor includes the steps of: providing a bottom element with a bottom foil and at least one bottom electrode disposed on the bottom foil; providing a plurality of top elements, each top element having a top foil with at least one top electrode disposed under the top foil, a combined area of the top elements being smaller than an area of the bottom element; and individually positioning and at least indirectly connecting the top elements to the bottom element so that at least one top electrode of each top element is disposed over at least one bottom electrode of the bottom element to form a sensor cell that is adapted to be activated when a pressure on the sensor cell exceeds a turn-on point. The turn-on point is adjusted by selecting a position of a top element from a plurality of positions.

  • Publication number: 20210354595
Abstract: A sensor carrier is configured for being arranged on a seat-supporting structure component of a vehicle and for carrying at least one vehicle seat occupation sensor. The sensor carrier includes an upper surface and a bottom surface. The upper surface comprises at least one plane support area for supporting the at least one vehicle seat occupation sensor. At least one portion of the bottom surface is designed to follow a specified surface contour of a seat-supporting structure component of a vehicle such that a predetermined measure considering shortest distances between a plurality of reference locations of the portion of the bottom surface and corresponding reference locations of the specified surface contour of the seat-supporting structure component, in an installed state of the sensor carrier, are kept below a predetermined threshold value for the measure.

  • Publication number: 20190344683
Abstract: A sensor bracket for mounting a seat occupation sensor to a seat base of a seat that includes a base frame and a cushion-supporting structure connected to the base frame. The sensor bracket includes a sensor support plate having at least one plane support area for supporting the force-sensitive seat occupation sensor, at least two holder members that are configured to hold onto the cushion-supporting structure, and at least two fixation parts, wherein each fixation part supports at least one of the at least two holder members. The at least two holder members are attached to the sensor support plate via the at least two fixation parts. The at least two fixation parts and the at least two holder members are configured to enable a predetermined maximum parallel travel of the sensor support plate in at least a direction perpendicular to the plane support area.
