  • Patent number: 9796955
Abstract: This invention describes natural hop products that are stable solutions of alpha-acids, as well as their preparation and their use for post-fermentation addition to beer for the purpose of improving the foam quality, as measured by foam stability and foam cling. Improvements in the stability (both physical and chemical) of the alpha-acids are described by incorporation of iso-alpha-acids and tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids as well as various brewery-acceptable co-solvents. The alpha-acids also improve the physical stability of the reduced iso-alpha-acids, including tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2011
Date of Patent: October 24, 2017
    Assignee: S.S. STEINER, INC.
Inventors: Richard J. H. Wilson, Harald Schwarz, Robert Smith
  • Publication number: 20140255587
Abstract: The present invention is an extracted hop powder which has one or more hop acids blended back. This hop acid powder is flowable, does not cake-up and is more stable than hop powder that has not been extracted.

  • Patent number: 7662358
Abstract: The invention relates to fine-particled alkaline-earth titanates and to a method for the production thereof by reacting alkaline-earth metal compounds with titanium dioxide particles. The titanium dioxide particles have a BET-surface greater than 50 m2/g. The titanium dioxide particles can have a very low sulphate, chloride and carbon content. The reaction can take place at a temperature below 700° C. The alkaline-earth titanate can have a BET-surface of 5-100 m2/g. Advantageously, it does not contain any hydroxyl groups in the crystal lattice. The alkaline-earth titanate can be used in the production of microelectronic components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2005
Date of Patent: February 16, 2010
    Assignee: Tronox Pigments GmbH
Inventors: Gerhard Auer, Werner Schuy, Anna Röttger, Dieter Völtzke, Harald Schwarz, Hans-Peter Abicht

  • Patent number: 7084616
Abstract: A method and device for measuring electrical voltage allow measurement under open-air conditions including high-voltage and very high voltage. Influence of temperature changes on electrical and optical parameters of the device are reduced by using light sources, at least one optical transmission path, at least one sensor element with at least one active sensor part made up of several sensor crystals and evaluation by Pockel's effect using optical activity in a crystal. Measurement light generated by a light source penetrates an active sensor, which has at least two voltage comprising evaluation means for evaluating the polarization state of measurement light traversed through sensor crystals wherein the evaluation means is used with a component assembly for scaling and multiplying input signal by a factor generated by a function unit, its input quantity representing the difference between a reference signal and a factored output signal wherein the function unit performs integration.
