  • Publication number: 20140153804
Abstract: In an embodiment of a method, a PET image data record, a functional magnetic resonance image data record and a morphological magnetic resonance image data record, the spatial resolution of which is better than that of the functional magnetic resonance image data record, of the target area are recorded with the combination image recording facility, whereby a center of the target structure is localized in the PET image data record. The center is transmitted to the functional magnetic resonance image data record, based on the center the target structure is segmented in the functional magnetic resonance image data record, the segmentation of the target structure in the functional magnetic resonance image data record is transmitted to the morphological magnetic resonance image data record and is improved there within the scope of a fine segmentation.

  • Patent number: 7902824
Abstract: A method for carrying out magnetic resonance measurements on an examination object in a magnetic resonance system is described. In at least one embodiment, a magnetic resonance image of the examination object previously acquired via the magnetic resonance system is used to determine spatial coordinates in order to control the magnetic resonance system for the magnetic resonance measurement to be carried out. In this case, in order to determine the spatial coordinates, use is made of a distortion-corrected magnetic resonance image generated on the basis of an original magnetic resonance measured image acquired by the magnetic resonance system and transformed in advance into an equivalent measured image on the basis of field inhomogeneity values of the magnetic resonance system.

  • Patent number: 6252401
Abstract: In a method for reconstructing a planar tomogram of an examination subject from magnetic resonance signals in inhomogeneous magnetic fields, original image elements are generated by means of multi-slice excitation, with the original image elements being disposed in the examination subject in several curved slices which are adjacent to one another in succession, the spatial position of the original image elements, are determined and image elements of a planar tomogram are generated from the original image elements which are arranged in an environment of the respective image elements.

  • Patent number: 5798643
Abstract: In a method in the form of a single pulse sequence for operating a nuclear magnetic resonance tomography apparatus, suitable for use with a chronologically constant inhomogeneity of the basic magnetic field N radio-frequency excitation pulses (N<2), spaced with a time spacing T, are emitted onto an examination subject, under the effect of a magnetic field gradient in a first direction, the radio-frequency excitation pulses respectively having different frequency bands adjoining one another. Subsequently, radio-frequency refocusing pulses spaced with a time spacing of T/2 are emitted, with the nth radio-frequency excitation pulse and the nth radio-frequency refocusing pulse having respective frequency bands that substantially agree.

  • Patent number: 5726569
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and method the following pulse sequence is repeated N times for acquiring image data. A first radio-frequency pulse is emitted for exciting nuclear spins, in an examination subject. A second radio-frequency pulse is emitted after a time span for rephasing the nuclear spins. Readout of the resulting nuclear magnetic resonance signal under a frequency-coding gradient takes place after a further time span following the second radio-frequency pulse. After waiting another time span, the first radio-frequency pulse of the next sequence is emitted. The pulse sequence is configured such that the nuclear magnetic resonance signals arising from the second radio-frequency pulse of the n-1.sup.th sequence and the first radio-frequency pulse of the following n.sup.th pulse sequence do not superimpose.
