  • Patent number: 6685134
Abstract: The MLRS1 artillery rockets (11) which are stored in the depots of the consumer can enjoy in a technologically non-critical fashion an increase in performance in the sense of a substantially improved degree of delivery precision, insofar as the ogival head (13) is temporarily cut off so that it is possible to fit into same and thus into the foremost region of the original payload space (15), which is behind the fuse (12), in a position of surrounding the pyrotechnic delivery ejection system, an annular assembly frame (21) for a transverse thrust unit (23) with reaction elements (25), which blow out radially around the rocket, which, in dependence on position, can be individually triggered by a navigation satellite-supported course correction unit (20) which is also fitted there.

  • Patent number: 5760330
Abstract: A delivery apparatus (11) for full-calibre submunitions or the like payloads (12) which are coaxially stacked in its load space (19) results in a system which operates in a fault-free manner when, for ejecting the payloads (12), detachment of the load space (19) from the rocket motor (17) disposed therebehind and detachment of the ogive (14) from the opposite end of the load space (19) are each promoted by a pyrotechnic charge (28, 31), with the load space (19) being braked as a result of being positioned transversely beside the trajectory (26) of the separated motor (17) which flies further along the trajectory and past the load space in a stable configuration and with the load space (19) only then being turned by a braking parachute (23) connected to its end (22). The load space tail (18) which thereafter then faces forwardly in the direction of flight is opened by detachment of a cover (25) and the load space (19) is pulled away from the payload stack (12--12) by means of the braking parachute (23).

  • Patent number: 5187322
Abstract: A process for controlling the detonation of a mine for the combating of vehicles, in particular armored vehicles such as tanks, with an electronically-triggered detonating arrangement and, a mine including a triggering device which is actuated pursuant to the inventive process. The detonating arrangement is only triggered when a receiver which is connected ahead thereof has determined requisite, preset aggregate vehicular criteria in a vehicle approaching the mine. The receiver is provided with a pattern comparator which is supplied from a pattern storage in accordance with a pregiven vehicular type criterium and with a detector receiving signal from the currently detected vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5012253
Abstract: A radar receiver and, more particularly, a radar receiver of the type which is utilized in connection with a frequency-modulated, continuous-signal radar apparatus. The radar receiver, in the receiving channel thereof, is provided with a high-pass filter of the second order which is only operated in the linear characteristic curves range, thus acting as an R.sup.4 -filter and which is connected in front of a demodulating rectifier, or in essence, an analog-digital quantitizer.

  • Patent number: 4441669
Abstract: An apparatus produces a guide beam pattern for a missile. The guide beam pattern comprises a plurality of bundles of light beams collectively surrounding the axis of the beam pattern. The bundles of beams are modulated differently by different electric modulating potentials from optical modulators. In order to produce the bundles of light beams without mechanical and aligning devices and to obtain a guidance system operating over the entire cross-section of the beam pattern, PLZT ceramic segments are provided as the modulators, each of which forms bundle of light beams. The segments collectively cover the entire cross-section of the beam pattern from a single source of light. A spearate modulating potential is applied to each of the segments.
