    Abstract: A fork lift truck drive axle (1?) is elastically fastened to a vehicle frame and with a lift mast (8) connected with the drive axle (1?) and can be inclined around an axial centerline (A) of the drive axle (1?) by at least one tilting cylinder (10). The drive axle (1?) is fastened to the vehicle frame by forward bearing elements (5) and by rear bearing elements (6) of a torque bearing system (torque arms 2a, 2b). The drive axle (1?) can be pivoted around a swiveling axis (S) oriented horizontally and transversely in the vicinity of the rear bearing elements (6). The lift mast (8) can also be inclined relative to the drive axle (1). The tilting cylinder (10) is connected in an articulated manner to the vehicle frame and the lift mast (8) and is oriented parallel or approximately parallel to a plane (E) which extends from the axial centerline (A) to the swiveling axis (S).

The protective grate can be fixed in the closed position. The protective grate may be retrofitted onto existing fork lift trucks, and can be operated very easily.

    Abstract: A control lever for a vehicle or a machine tool, in particular for an industrial truck, is disclosed for the generation of an electrical control signal. The actuation travel of the control lever is limited by a stop point that is defined by a stop and the control lever has means to generate a restoration force. The stop has an elastic component, as a result of which an at least slight deflection of the control lever beyond the stop point is possible. The elastic component of the stop is realized so that in the event of a deflection beyond the stop point, the restoration force, as a function of the deflection, increases to a greater extent than in the event of a deflection of the control lever between a neutral position and the stop point.

    Abstract: The improvement in an industrial truck having a container, an operator station and an adjustable control valve fixed on the truck adjacent to the container comprising a control lever for the control valve mounted on a panel member pivotally mounted on the container. A rocking lever is operatively connected to the control lever and is pivotally connected to the control valve. The rocking lever is pivotally mounted on the panel member. The pivotal axis of the panel member and the pivotal axis of the rocking lever are the same so that the panel and the rocking lever can be pivoted out of an operating position wherein the control lever is within easy reach of the operator station into a service position providing access to the interior of the container on the truck.
