  • Publication number: 20240308481
Abstract: A stowable pedal system for a motor vehicle is provided. The stowable pedal system for a motor vehicle includes a foot pedal configured to be actuated by a user in a deployed position and further actuatable to a stowed position and the deployed position, and a sensor assembly sensing a sensed position of the foot pedal. The system also includes a controller configured to process the sensed position from the sensor assembly and command a vehicle operation in the deployed position and further processing the sensed signal during a stow or deploy operation to determine a stowed or deployed status of the foot pedal and generating an output signal indicative of the stowed or deployed status.

  • Patent number: 12005875
Abstract: A vehicle includes a brake-by-wire system having a brake pedal and a first sensor configured to output a signal indicative of a position of the brake pedal. A controller is in communication with the sensor and is programmed to enable and disable a one-pedal driving mode based on a user-selected setting. The controller is further programmed to, in response to the signal of the first sensor being valid and the one-pedal driving mode being disabled, enable the one-pedal driving mode regardless of the user-selected setting.

  • Patent number: 9273651
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for reducing the generation and transmission of objectionable noise from an aspirator to a vehicle cabin during vacuum production. During selected conditions, motive flow through an intake aspirator may cause a hissing noise to be produced at the aspirator, and transmitted through an open check valve in a bypass path between the aspirator and a vacuum reservoir, into a vehicle cabin. During these conditions, an aspirator shut-off valve is closed to reduce motive flow through the aspirator, thereby reducing the hissing noise.

  • Patent number: 9227610
Abstract: A vacuum enhancer having four apertures, one of which is open to the atmosphere, wherein a piston selectively restricts fluid flow through an ejector based on a pressure differential between a vacuum chamber within the vacuum booster and true atmospheric pressure.

  • Publication number: 20150337867
Abstract: A brake vacuum aspirator has a generally known construction and function and includes an optimized bypass flow path including an optimized check valve making the brake vacuum aspirator capable of a performance level not previously obtainable in brake vacuum aspirators. In particular, the brake vacuum aspirator of the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes an enlarged bypass flow path for providing a proximately 9.5 ft3/min of air flow at 7? of Hg so that the brake vacuum aspirator is capable of sufficient performance during alternating wide-open throttle and then full brake application testing simulating high performance driving such as those that may be experienced in vehicle pursuits (e.g., Police City Pursuit Testing) without using any added and costly additional equipment.
