  • Publication number: 20240374957
Abstract: A reformer has parallel tracks extending between a head end and a foot end and an anchor bar and carriage stop assembly fastened to the frame adjacent the foot end of the frame. The assembly includes an anchor bar slidably fastened to a pair of elongated plates each fastened to one of the tracks. Each plate has an elongated closed slot therein extending parallel to and below the one of the tracks. The anchor bar has opposite ends, each end extending through one of the elongated slots and through an elongated spacer member pivotally fastened to the end of the anchor bar. Each elongated spacer member has a distal end carrying a pin fastened thereto extending through the elongated slot, wherein the pin has a carriage stop fastened to the pin.

  • Publication number: 20240376920
Abstract: A frame corner member includes an elongated hollow extrusion having a central corner portion and two leg portions extending from the central portion. Each leg portion includes an inner side wall spaced from and parallel to an outer side wall, and merging with the central portion. An outer end wall joins the inner and outer side walls, which each include an inner surface facing the inner surface of the other side wall. An opening through the outer end wall defines a space between the inner and outer side walls adjacent one end of the extrusion for receiving one end of one of frame side members and end members. At least one of the inner surfaces in the space has discrete surface features adapted to grip and retain the one end of one of the side members and end members in the space when received through the opening.

A rotary torque unit mounted to the frame beneath the seat biases each of the arms. The rotary torque unit includes a rotary spring cassette that carries a plurality of flat coil springs each having only one end fastened to an axle at one end of one of the arms. Combinations of the springs in the spring cassette may be user selected without the user leaving the seat of the chair exercise apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20220380186
Abstract: A tether management system is disclosed. The tether management system includes a spool, a tension sensor, a controller and a moveable pulley. The spool is rotatable to reel in and reel out a tether. The tension sensor measures a tension of the tether. The controller receives a desired tension of the tether and controls the rotation of the spool to reel in and reel out the tether based on a difference between a measured tension from the tension sensor and the desired tension of the tether. The moveable pulley is disposed to engage tether between the spool and the tension sensor. The moveable pulley being able to be biased and moveable along a linear path to adjust a tension of the tether when the tension of the tether deviates from the desired tension. A method for managing tether is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6276457
Abstract: The bottom end of a coil tubing string is secured to the bottom end of a primary tubing string at ground surface. Usually the primary tubing string will be of larger diameter and is therefore stronger and stiffer than the coil tubing string. The strings are secured together with a locking assembly. This assembly comprises two interlocking members, one connected with each string. One of the interlocking members is meltable when exposed to elevated temperature. The primary tubing string and the coil tubing string are run together into the desired position in the wellbore. The primary tubing string acts to drag the coil tubing string along with it. Heat is then used to melt the interlocking member so that the strings can be separated. The heat can be provided by circulating steam or hot water or oil down to the assembly. Alternatively the downhole formation temperature may be sufficient to induce melting. Once separated, each string can be pulled or moved independently.

  • Patent number: 6116085
Abstract: A coil of continuous steel tubing string is stretched along the ground. An elongate bundle of instrument lines, including thermocouples and pressure sensor wiring, is threaded into the bore of the tubing string. The instrument lines are landed at multiple spaced apart measurement points along the string. The string and the contained bundle are cut at pressure measuring points. A tubular sub having a side port is supplied for each point. One set of cut line ends is threaded through the sub and reconnected with the other set. A pressure sensor is inserted in the string at the cut point and connected with pressure sensor wiring and the port. This process is repeated along the tubing string. The product is a continuous tubing string housing a plurality of pressure sensor assemblies connected to ports along the string and a plurality of thermocouples operative to measure temperature at points along the string.
