  • Publication number: 20140370593
Abstract: A flow chamber assembly for subjecting cells or other biological reagents to laminar flow conditions and methods of using the flow chamber assembly are provided herein. The flow chamber assembly includes a bottom plate having at least one well with a bottom surface adapted to receive the cells or biological reagents, a top plate having at least one flow protrusion positioned and shaped to fit into the well of the bottom plate and a sealing element positioned between the top plate and the bottom plate when the top plate and the bottom plate are attached. The flow chamber assembly is configured to allow for laminar flow of a perfusate across the cells or biological reagents along the bottom surface of the well of the bottom plate. The cells or biological reagents can be exposed to a predetermined level of shear stress.
