  • Patent number: 11943078
Abstract: Techniques for a hub node, provisioned in a site of a hub and spoke overlay network, to receive, store, and/or forward network routing information associated with a spoke, and send packets directly to spoke(s) that are remote from the hub node. A first hub node may receive a network advertisement including a border gateway protocol (BGP) large community string from a first spoke local to the first hub node. The first hub node may send the BGP large community string to a second hub node remote from the first hub node. The second hub node may decode network routing information from the BGP large community string and store the network routing information locally. The second hub node may send a packet from a second spoke local to the second hub node directly to the first spoke without the data packet being routed via the first hub node.

  • Publication number: 20070239500
Abstract: A migration system and method. The migration method comprises receiving a request to generate a migration plan for an entity and generating a strategic plan comprising a first procedure for transferring knowledge required for performing job functions comprised by a first set of individuals to a second set of individuals and a second procedure for defining a set of temporary individuals to perform a transition management process through the transferring. Additionally, an allocation plan and a ramping down plan are generated. The allocation plan is for allocating the set of temporary resources to the entity for the transition management process and second allocating said second set of individuals for the transferring. The ramping down plan is for ramping down to close out the set of temporary individuals based on external data. The resource migration plan is for supporting the entity and includes a procedure for allocating the second set of individuals for supporting the entity.

  • Publication number: 20050288251
Abstract: This invention provides a method for inhibiting or preventing the abnormal growth of cells, including transformed cells, by administering an effective amount of O-acylated heparin derivative. Abnormal growth of cells refers to cell growth independent of normal regulatory mechanism (e.g. loss of contact inhibition). This includes the abnormal growth of: (1) tumor cells (tumors); (2) benign and malignant cells of other proliferative disease in which aberrant cellular proliferation occurs; (3) aberrant smooth muscle cell proliferation, such as might occur following treatment for coronary atherosclerosis such as angioplasty or the insertion of a stent into an occluded vessel.

  • Publication number: 20050163093
Abstract: A method of conducting communication over one or more communication networks without making any change to the communication network infrastructure, the method comprising: selectively establishing L?2 communication paths between first and second devices, each communication path comprising one or more communication channels of one of the communication networks; splitting a communication data stream from the first device into at least L sub-streams; transmitting the sub-streams via the L communication paths; and combining the sub-streams for processing at the second device.

  • Publication number: 20050010573
Abstract: A method of providing a service, comprising the steps of contacting one of a plurality of server electronic addresses from a first electronic address; identifying, at the server electronic address, the first electronic address from which the contact is made; and providing a service based on a service definition depending on a combination of the server electronic address and the first electronic address, and wherein the service definition comprises one or more second electronic addresses for execution of the service.

  • Publication number: 20050008097
Abstract: A wireless communication system (10), an encoding method (300) for encoding a binary input signal and a decoding method (800) for decoding a coded baseband signal within the wireless communication system (10) are described. The system (10) has an encoding section (12) and a decoding section (14). The encoding section (12) has a mapper (26) for mapping bits into symbols, and an encoder (28), coupled to the mapper (26), for encoding the symbols to corresponding integers modulo M, where M is an arbitrary predetermined integer. Coded symbols are derived from the corresponding integers. At the decoding section (14), a decoder (40) decodes an output phasor stream of a coded baseband signal to derive an estimate of a codeword. Thereafter, a demapper (42) demaps the estimate of the codeword to derive the bits from decoded symbols.
