  • Publication number: 20170361928
Abstract: A drone package receiving system is provided, utilizing a package-to-receiver system coupler that mates to a receiver pole. The coupler is attached to the drone package and “clips” onto the receiver pole to secure the package from the drone. The receiver pole is affixed to receptacle that is at a “customer-side” end of the pole, wherein the package is translated from the pole's end into the receptacle for safe and hands-free delivery to the customer.

  • Publication number: 20170328391
Abstract: A drone delivered package-to-receiver coupler is described, with a rear portion configured with one or more package attachment surface(s), with support arms extending towards a front of the coupler, being separated from each other to form a gap between them. The coupler contains a living hinge portion spanning the gap and coupled to the support arms, with a pivoting section that translates to open/closed positions, restrained by the support arms. A coupler portion is connected to at least one of the support arms and living hinge, with capture arms extending to the front of the coupler that swing open/close when the pivoting section of the living hinge is translated. Therefore, when a rod or arm is coupled to, it is substantially encompassed by the capture arms and the living hinge, so that the package-to-receiver coupler can slide along the rod or arm in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 9714087
Abstract: A vertical takeoff/landing capable, multi-engine aircraft with an airfoil without elevator or rudder surfaces is provided. Strut apertures accommodate vertical and horizontal translation of the airfoil in reference to engine supporting struts which are disposed through the apertures, opposite ends of the struts extending to opposite sides of the airfoil, wherein the struts are adjustably attached to the airfoil. A first and second plurality of engines are attached to ends of the struts, an attachment position of the plurality of engines to the struts is horizontally adjustable. A computerized engine controller, controls thrusts of the engines, to enable the aircraft to vertically lift off/land and re-orient itself to horizontally fly, and perform thrust-initiated elevator and rudder emulating flight. An external payload-to-delivery mating mechanism is attached to the bottom of the payload, which mates to a pole leading to the payload receptacle. Transceivers facilitate precise transfer of the payload.

  • Publication number: 20160367770
Abstract: An add-on holding chamber for an inhaler mixer system has a holding chamber, mouthpiece, and attachment interface is coupled to the mouth inlet of the prior art inhaler, to provide a better mixing efficiency. The chemical from the medicament canister is sprayed into the air inlet side of the prior art inhaler, which enters the holding chamber, and as the user sucks onto the mouthpiece of the add-on holding chamber, air flows into the holding chamber (via inlets in the holding chamber which operate to move more air and/or vortex additional air) towards the air inlet side of the prior art inhaler. The added inhaled air provides more air and force to aerosolize with more efficiency the chemical/air mixture in the holding chamber.

  • Patent number: 4916596
Abstract: A flashlight that is convertible between a hand-held form and a body-mountable form is disclosed. The flashlight includes a head assembly, which houses the light bulb and the switching mechanism, and a body assembly which houses the power cells. The body assembly includes a pair of articulated arms which are hinged to the head assembly for forming a handle in the hand-held form or a yoke in the body-mountable form. An integral switching and focusing mechanism is provided in the head assembly. Axial displacement of the mechanism switches the flashlight on or off, whereas rotation of the mechanism moves a parabolic reflector relative to the light bulb so as to vary the focus of the light. The head assembly includes a lamp housing which is tiltable for directing the light beam. An electric circuit is provided to permit recharging of the flashlight power cells.
