  • Publication number: 20190188574
Abstract: The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for generating ground truth for determination of algorithm accuracy at scale. In one example, the method includes receiving raw data from at least one data source, performing pre-processing on the raw data, obtaining first information for generating ground truth data by applying a machine learning algorithm to the pre-processed raw data, obtaining second information for generating ground truth data by applying a signal processing algorithm to the pre-processed raw data, generating ground truth data based on matches between the first information and the second information, and determining accuracy of a source algorithm using the generated ground truth data.

  • Patent number: 7650334
Abstract: An electronic commerce system includes a content enhancement module that analyzes the product data stored in a seller database using one or more rules and that identifies one or more potential errors in the product data according to the rules. The rules include one or more generic rules that apply to substantially all seller databases including product data. These generic rules include one or more of the following rules: a rule indicating that a potential error exists if two products in the seller database have identical product identifiers but have otherwise different product data, a rule indicating that a potential error exists if two products in the seller database have different product identifiers but have otherwise identical product data, and rules indicating that a potential error exists if the values associated with particular generic product attributes have a non-numerical format.

  • Patent number: 7647311
Abstract: An electronic commerce system (10) includes a content enhancement module (47) that analyzes the product data stored in a seller database (32) using one or more rules and that identifies one or more potential errors in the product data according to the rules. The rules include one or more generic rules that apply to substantially all seller databases (32) including product data. These generic rules include one or more of the following rules: a rule indicating that a potential error exists if two products in the seller database (32) have identical product identifiers but have otherwise different product data, a rule indicating that a potential error exists if two products in the seller database (32) have different product identifiers but have otherwise identical product data, and rules indicating that a potential error exists if the values associated with particular generic product attributes have a non-numerical format.

  • Publication number: 20080249876
Abstract: A method and system for making and optimizing offer selections targeted to particular recipients or groups improves selection quality by combining and aggregating quantitative and qualitative data to capture recipient needs and provider expectations and intentions. Offer descriptions are first received. Distribution variables for application to offer descriptions and recipients are then selected. Distributions are then assigned to offer descriptions, and distributions appropriate to the recipient are determined and assigned to the recipient. Distributions can incorporate demographic, psychographic and behavioral variables. Offer description distributions and recipient distributions are combined for each offer description, resulting in a ranking for each offer description. Offer descriptions are automatically selected based on the rankings, using, for example, simple ordering or roulette wheel selection. Offer descriptions are instantiated as offers, and finally offers are output to the recipient.

  • Publication number: 20080097843
Abstract: A method of network merchandising incorporates contextual and personalized advertising with human input to deliver relevant retail offers to interested online consumers efficiently and intelligently. Catalog content from retailers is downloaded, semantically analyzed and merged. The merged content is filtered using machine- and human-generated specifications to produce a merchandisable universe of products (MUP). Marketers and publishers create and modify corner store ad units and specify product offers from the MUP to display in those units. Publishers deploy the ad units on their web pages. Compensation of publishers by retailers can use a pay-for-performance model. Users visit the publisher's pages, viewing the product offers in the rendered ad unit.
