Abstract: A oral suction device that incorporates a foldable suction body, a bite block and a suction adapter that is utilized to block the throat cavity. The body draws water, saliva and debris from about a gap along its outer perimeter. The suction body resides in a vertical position in the patient's mouth and is able to expand to allow the transport of large pieces of debris without coming apart. There is a fishtail section of the suction body that anchors it between the teeth and the inner cheek so as to allow the remained of the suction body to block the throat hole.

Abstract: A dental device that firmly mates and rotationally orients the proximal end of a suction (evacuation) straw of a high volume extraction unit to a rigid, disposable tongue retractor firmly enough that it cannot be dislodged therefrom. This allows the device to direct the forcible movement and retention of the tongue while suctioning out saliva, water and debris from the dental patient's mouth. The device has a unique four point capture collar with two upper bands and two lower bands separated by open voids. The half bands each half encircle the shaft of the suction straw with the proximal void providing an easy connection of the straw's locking orifice to the retention post on the retractor.

Abstract: A dental device that mates a high volume extraction unit to a tongue retractor to allow the dental assistant to remove fluids and debris from the mouth of a patient with ease and using a minimal volume of the space in a patient's mouth. The device has a straw collar that encircles the shaft of a suction straw in a “Vee” configuration with a set of opposing half-bands. A post extending inward from the front half band locks the suction straw in place. Affixed to the suction straw is a paddle shaped tongue retractor with an array of orifices there through to allow the vacuuming of fluids and debris from the bottom side of the retractor.
