  • Patent number: 10400783
Abstract: A low-noise, high-volume air mover is used in a recreational vehicle to push air. The air mover is smaller than previous designs used, moves more cubic feet of air than previous designs used, and produces less sound than previous designs used.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10093152
Abstract: An air vent may cover an opening formed in a structure to block water or debris from entering an interior of the structure through the opening. The air vent is movable between a closed and an open position to selectively block or allow fluid communication between the interior and an exterior of the structure.

  • Patent number: 10076976
Abstract: A seat pedestal includes an open base upon which a plate assembly is mounted for translational movement upon the base. The plate assembly includes a bottom plate, a seat mount for supporting a seat, and a bearing means between the bottom plate and the seat mount to permit the seat mount to rotate. One lock releasably secures the plate assembly in the driving position and another, which is self-actuating, releases the seat mount so that it can rotate freely when it is in the resting position. A stop carried by the seat mount defines a range in which the seat may be rotated. At least one pair of interlocking members couples the seat mount with the bottom plate to transfer lateral loads born by the seat to the base. The bottom plate, the bearing means, and the seat mount have concentric openings through which wires may pass for accessories such as power/heated seats, headrests, and computer screens and related accoutrements.

  • Patent number: 9067517
Abstract: A cantilevered vehicular seat with force distributing locks is disclosed. The seat is connectable to a support by linkage so the seat is movable relative to the support between a vertical stowable position and a horizontal position. The seat back is pivotally secured to the seat so that it is movable relative to the seat between a lowered position and a raised position. A self-locking pin lock and slot assembly releasably secures the seat back in the raised position when it is unfolded to distribute loads and make the seat sturdier. The pin lock and slot assembly has pivot arms secured to the ends of the seat at respective pivots. The arms operate the folding of the seat back relative to the seat. Slots formed in the seat back receive a retention pin and a lock pin carried by the pivot arms. The retention pin extends the length of the seat to reduce seat back chucking and distribute load to the vehicle. Another latch/lock assembly releasably self-locks the seat in the horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 9016793
Abstract: An adjustable armrest includes a housing with opposite walls. Each of the walls has a bore formed in it. The boxes support a pivot pin with a gear so that the armrest is pivotable on the pin. A ratchet with a pawl is pivotably connected to and carried by the armrest. The ratchet is also configured so that the pawl may engage the gear to define incremental ratcheting movement of the armrest on the pin when the armrest is pivoted in one direction. There is also provided a cam ring selectively movable with the armrest for rotational engagement with the gear. The cam ring has an exterior cam surface that contacts a portion of the ratchet and pivots the ratchet clear of engagement with the gear when the armrest is pivoted in another direction. The new armrest incorporates fewer components lowering cost of production, improving torsion force and load bearing capabilities, improving life of the furniture piece and strengthening armrest and furniture piece assembly.

  • Publication number: 20080004403
Abstract: A poly(trimethylene-ethylene ether) glycol is disclosed. The poly(trimethylene-ethylene ether) glycol is, preferably, prepared by the polycondensation of 1,3-propanediol reactant and ethylene glycol reactant. The composition is preferably used in breathable membranes, synthetic lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, motor oils, surfactants, spin-finishes, water-borne coatings, laminates, adhesives, packaging, films and foams, fibers and fabrics.

  • Publication number: 20070276164
Abstract: Processes for reducing color in PO3G are provided. The processes include contacting PO3G with an activated carbon and then separating the PO3G from the activated carbon by, for example, filtration. The process provides PO3G having an APHA color less than that before contact with the absorbent. The processes are desirably used for polymers having a molecular weight of about 250 to about 5000.

  • Publication number: 20070269392
Abstract: This invention relates to personal care compositions containing polytrimethylene ether glycol in a variety of physical forms including solutions, gels, oil-in-water emulsions, water-in-oil emulsions, suspensions and solids. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the polytrimethylene ether glycol is derived predominantly from monomers obtained from renewable resources, making the personal care products of this embodiment of the present invention more environmentally friendly in terms of their manufacture, use and disposal.
