  • Publication number: 20230113260
Abstract: Real time data and historical data of power usage for components of an electrical power environment is analyzed, using a computer, to manage distribution of electrical power from multiple generation sources. Data is received for a plurality of nodes including components having power delivery and consuming capabilities. Real time data for the nodes is received and the real time data includes power output of the components. The data and the real time data is analyzed to determine predictable power usage for the components. Constraint limits are defined for a plurality of data points from the real time data for each of the plurality of nodes in the power consuming environment. An electrical power supply control plan is created based on the analysis and the penalty variables. The electrical power supply control plan is communicated to a control system for managing power usage in the electrical power environment.

  • Publication number: 20230114682
Abstract: A process for service chain instance pool sizing includes receiving service requests, communicated in a 5G network, into a buffer of a request handler of the 5G network. The service requests are for processing by a service function chain. The request handler is configured to relay received service requests to a pool of service chain instances of the service function chain. The process determines an average number of service requests to be processed by the service function chain, determines a number of service chain instances to exist in the pool as a composite of (i) service chain instances to process service requests making an initial relay through the service function chain and (ii) service chain instances to process service requests that were re-introduced into the buffer after having previously arrived, and indicates this composite number to a broker component that controls the number of service chain instances in the pool.

  • Publication number: 20230089098
Abstract: A method for contact tracing a confirmed case of an infectious disease. A network function (NF) of a 5G network receives information of a confirmed case of a contagious disease with a consent of the user. The NF accesses mobile device location history and timestamp data of the user having the confirmed case from a unified data repository (UDR) of the 5G network. The NF generates a list of hot spots and timeframes, based on a contact tracing function analyzing the location history, and the NF sends the list of hot spots and timeframes to mobile devices of subscribers of the 5G network, wherein the mobile devices of the 5G subscribers include an application (app) that compares the list of hot spots to locally stored location history on respective mobile devices and provides alerts for a match of location and timeframe.

  • Patent number: 11494439
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and a system where a processor(s) obtains a universe of social media items posted to a social media platform at a given time. The processor(s) determines a likelihood of each item of the universe of social media items becoming viral by linking each item of the universe to a breakout pattern based on predefined dimensions and bucketing each item into a defined grouping by a measure of anticipated virality of the item. The processor(s) applies a susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR) model as a differential equation to the bucketed items to determine an equilibrium and one or more breakout points. The processor(s) determines if a social media item will become viral based on whether the item matches at least one or the one or more breakout points.
