    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to a user equipment (“UE”) that is to receive emergency communication. The UE may be camped with limited service on a wireless network that is associated with a visited mobile switching circuit (“MSC”). While camped in limited service, the UE may transmit a location update request to the visited MSC that indicates the UE is to receive emergency communication while camped with limited service on the wireless network. Accordingly, the visited MSC may update a visitor location registry and a home location registry. Thereafter, when an emergency service attempts to contact the UE, the UE may be reached even while camped with limited service.
