When the user pauses presentation of the content, the system determines the merchandise associated with the particular scene of the content that the user is currently viewing. The system may also display the items to the user and provide multiple options for purchase, rental, and so forth. The system may enable the user to make a selection to purchase the merchandise, receive an order confirmation, and then resume presentation of the content.
