    Abstract: A wound care device includes a flexible cover having a concave interior surface and a flange configured for sealing engagement with the skin of a patient so that the device can be affixed to the skin of the patient. An inlet tube is in fluid communication with the interior thereof and configured to deliver a fluid compound thereto. An outlet tube extends from the flexible cover and is in fluid communication with the interior thereof to allow aspiration of fluid from within the flexible cover. A programmable system delivers one or more of oxygen, saline, medicaments, UV light, and ultrasonic vibration on a schedule predetermined by a user of the device.

    Abstract: A device for protecting against microbial infection includes a cover having a concave interior surface and a convex exterior surface. The device further includes an adhesive flange for affixing the cover to a patient's skin. A membrane extends across at least a portion of the interior surface of the cover for retaining an antimicrobial compound between the membrane and the interior surface of the cover. The membrane is permeable to the antimicrobial compound so that the antimicrobial compound is released through the membrane over time.

    Abstract: An antimicrobial device for use with a catheter includes a jacket having a central opening for receiving a catheter in sliding engagement therewith and an antimicrobial means disposed within the jacket for reducing the number of microbes on the catheter or the skin of the patient. When the catheter is inserted through the central opening of the jacket, the antimicrobial means acts to disinfect the exterior surface of the catheter.
