Abstract: An external device identification method in a device including a touch spot, an apparatus, and a recording medium are provided. The external device identification method includes generating a first micro-current signal that is induced when the touch spot is touched by a human being and includes device information about the device including the touch spot, propagating the first micro-current signal to an external device via a human being, receiving a second micro-current signal including device information about the external device from the external device via the human being, detecting the device information about the external device from the second micro-current signal, identifying the external device by using the device information about the external device, and connecting the device including the touch spot to the external device through a communication channel.

Abstract: A method of controlling at least one controlled device at an external device outside a network including a control device and the controlled device is provided. The method includes transmitting a message accepting a control request requesting to control the controlled device in a session established with the control device; receiving and displaying an identifier for identifying the controlled device; and selectively controlling the controlled device via the control device based on an input generated using the displayed identifier.

Abstract: Provided is a communication method using a three-dimensional (3D) image display device. In the communication method, motion information is determined using a motion image obtained by photographing a user's motion indicating the user's request in relation to an opposite party, distance information indicating the distance between the user who is moving and the 3D image display device is determined, and then, the user's request is determined based on the motion information and the distance information.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for displaying various types of touch screen keyboards at various positions according to an information input condition of a user. The method includes recognizing a point on a touch screen which a reference finger of at least one hand of a user touches, and displaying a touch screen keyboard including keys arranged according to the recognized point. Accordingly, a user-based touch screen keyboard which can be easily used, allow information to be quickly input, and reduce touch error, can be provided.

Abstract: Provided are a terminal having a radio frequency identification (RFID) function and a method of processing information of the terminal for allowing intuitive interaction between a screen manipulation and an RFID manipulation with respect to using an RFID related service. The method of processing the information of the terminal including a screen and an RFID recognition unit, includes detecting a screen area corresponding to a position of the RFID recognition unit disposed at a predetermined position of the screen; displaying an RFID icon at a position of the detected screen area; recording information in an RFID tag based on the RFID tag contacting the RFID icon, and recognizing the information from the RFID tag the RFID tag contacting the RFID icon.

Abstract: Provided are a touch-screen based device identification and information provision method and apparatus, and computer-readable recording mediums having recorded thereon programs for executing the touch-screen based device identification method and the information provision method. The device identification method for a touch screen device includes propagating a signal induced by touching a touch screen surface to an external device via the person, receiving information about the signal detected by the external device and an identification (ID) of the external device through a communication channel, and identifying the external device by using the received information about the detected signal and the received ID of the external device. Thus, the touch screen device and the external device can be connected to each other in real time by a simple and physical touch.

Abstract: Provided are method and apparatus for writing and reproducing a multimedia service using a tag in order to provide an intuitive interface for a user using a multimedia service. The method includes selecting a multimedia service to be written; generating tag information identifying the selected multimedia service; and writing the generated tag information to a tag. Accordingly, multimedia service information and content information can be stored in a tag by being written to tag information using a common format, and thus the user can later execute a service operation by easily writing information of a desired service operation to a tag and then simply connecting the tag to a tag reading device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recording digital program by transforming program supplementary information into graphic data are provided. The apparatus includes a supplementary information analyzer, a graphic data generator and a disk generator. The supplementary information analyzer extracts program supplementary information from a digital program signal and analyzes the program supplementary information. The graphic data generator transforms the program supplementary information outputted from the supplementary analyzing unit into graphic data, and a disk generator records the digital program signal and the graphic data generated from the graphic data generator in a disk.
