Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for displaying and editing text on computer hardware monitors and screens (“computer displays”) that utilize horizontal space effectively while enabling seamless scrolling through content.

Abstract: A method of playing an interactive game of pattern matching. The game application renders an image of a target pattern of items in a designated area of the display screen and an array of items in a stack area of the display screen. The player selects a pattern corresponding to a group of items in the stack area. If the selected pattern matches at least part of the target pattern, the selected pattern is removed from the stack area, and if it does not match, the items of the selected pattern are kept within the stack area. A match is determined when the items in the selected pattern match corresponding items in the at least part of the target pattern. After an item has been removed, a space is left behind in the stack, which allows another item in the stack from above the space to drop into the space after previous item has been removed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for organizing and processing pieces of interrelated information (or “thoughts”) using a digital computer is disclosed. The invention employs a graphical user interface to facilitate user interaction with highly flexible, associative “matrices” that enable users conveniently to organize digitally-stored thoughts and their network of interrelationships. Each of the thoughts may be affiliated with one or more application programs, such as a word processing or spreadsheet utility, or an Internet browser. Users are able conveniently to select a current thought along with any applications or content associated with that thought by interacting with the graphical representation. That representation is automatically reoriented about the selected thought, and is revised to reflect only those thoughts having predetermined relations to that current thought. Users can easily modify the matrix by interactively redefining relations between thoughts.

Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for a knowledgebase framework. Information is obtained from at least one source utilizing a network. Utilizing a knowledge model, an index is generated for the obtained information. The generated index includes a plurality of items each associated with at least some of the obtained information. Utilizing the network, the generated index is displayed to a user. The user is permitted to select at least one of the items of the index. The information associated with the selected item is then displayed to the user utilizing the network.

Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for a knowledgebase framework. A network is utilized to access one or more sources. Information from the source is then extracted utilizing the network. The format of the extracted information is converted into a common format. An index is generated for the information utilizing a knowledge model. The generated index is then stored in a database.

Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for monitoring information in a knowledgebase framework. Utilizing a network, information is received from a user that relates to a target to be tracked. The network is monitored for changes to the target. When a change is monitored, data relating to the monitored changes is retrieved and then transmitted to the user utilizing the network.
