  • Publication number: 20230323193
Abstract: Embodiments of treating fluid comprising hydrocarbons, water, and polymer being produced from a hydrocarbon-bearing formation are provided. One embodiment comprises adding a concentration of a viscosity reducer to the fluid to degrade the polymer present in the fluid and adding a concentration of a neutralizer to the fluid to neutralize the viscosity reducer in the fluid. The viscosity reducer is buffered at a pH of 7 or less (e.g., at a pH of from 2 to 7, such as at a pH of from 3.5 to 7, or at a pH of from 5 to 7). The addition of the concentration of the viscosity reducer is in a sufficient quantity to allow for complete chemical degradation of the polymer prior to the addition of the concentration of the neutralizer in the fluid such that excess viscosity reducer is present in the fluid.

  • Patent number: 6064792
Abstract: A device for recording and playing back a selected episode from an input analog audio-visual signal. A "deferred recording" feature allows the user to briefly delay his/her decision to record a live signal episode until after the signal episode has at least partially transpired. Thus, the user can first evaluate the episode prior to deciding whether to record it. The recorded signal episode contains both preamble and postamble segments, i.e. the signal segments preceding and following activation of a record switch. The analog playback signal is directed to an A/V output device so it can be heard/viewed by the user. Some embodiments provide for recording multiple signal episodes, multi-signal channel episodes, variable length episodes, simultaneous record and playback, episode deletion, variation of sampling rate, skip forward, reverse, and squelch.

  • Patent number: 4469637
Abstract: Preparation of new, useful and novel highly electro-conductive polymer compositions via the dispersion of electrically particulates in conjunction with small proportions of certain organo aluminates, titanates and/or zirconates in polymeric substrates is hereinafter described. Further the production of heretofore unknown classes of organo aluminates, titanates and zirconates useful in the practice of this invention is disclosed and generically useful subclasses of these compounds defined. Advantages other than improved electrical conductivity of the resultant composites, i.e., process and physical property improvements are also documented for compositions containing said additives and particulate materials and/or composites in polymeric dispersions, and/or compositions of said particulates with said organic aluminates, titanates and zirconates.

  • Patent number: 4084261
Abstract: A graphic display apparatus in which the data to be displayed is stored as two types of data word, one type representing groups of increments of beam displacement of a beam displacement tube and the other representing differences between the data constituting a raster line and that of next succeeding line. The data for each line formed from the first type of words is temporarily stored in a line store while being displayed on the tube. The contents of the line store are modified according to any second type words received during the display period so as to convert the stored data into that for the next line to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 4026171
Abstract: Work pieces, particularly thin-walled shells of can dimension, are transferred from a magazine at a supply station to another station by a reciprocal shuttle having a pocket for receiving the shells in ready position at the supply station; at the other station, a reciprocal loader transfers the shell laterally from the shuttle to a work station where the work product is produced. The shuttle incorporates a second pocket to receive the work product and includes a surface for gating the supply magazine as an incident to shuttle travel. By locating the path of the shuttle above the path of the loader, it is possible to coordinate shuttle and loader movement for maximum utilization of time. Shells fed to the magazine are constantly aligned inside the magazine to assure effective bottom feed from the magazine to the shuttle.
