  • Patent number: 5906533
Abstract: A method for mounting a semiconductor wafer on a polishing block to hold the semiconductor wafer during polishing. The method comprises the steps of providing a polishing block having a surface for mounting the semiconductor wafer, coating the polishing block surface with a bonding agent, applying radiant heat to the polishing block and bonding agent to soften the bonding agent, and applying the semiconductor wafer to the softened bonding agent. The step of applying radiant heat to the polishing block and bonding agent is performed by a radiant heater in a dry environment.

  • Patent number: 5787595
Abstract: Apparatus for determining the flatness of a generally circular polishing pad through direct measurement of the pad for use in maintaining the flatness of the pad and the flatness of surfaces of articles polished on the polishing pad of a polisher. The apparatus includes a measuring device, a frame mounting the measuring device being capable of measuring a distance between an upper surface of the polishing pad and a reference plane at plural locations along the polishing pad. The apparatus further includes a controller for controlling the measuring device. The controller is configured to indicate whether the flatness of the pad falls outside a predetermined specification.

  • Patent number: 4894023
Abstract: An improved anode cup or connector assembly for a cathode ray tube comprises a one-piece, generally U-shaped sheet metal connector clip snugly fitted and rigidly supported and locked in place in a cavity in a skirted resilient rubber-like cap, the clip having side-by-side mounting legs protruding from an open end of the cavity into the skirt of the cap and provided with catch lugs for insertion into and locking engagement with a standard hollow anode button embedded in the tube wall to mount the anode cup in place thereon. A bared wire end of an insulation sheathed anode supply conductor extends into the cap cavity through a passageway thereinto within a laterally extending barrel portion of the cap, and it extends between the legs of and is electrically connected to the clip by bending of a pinch plate on the clip to clamp the bared wire end between the pinch plate and a grip tab on the base end of the clip.

  • Patent number: 4418171
Abstract: A silicone rubber composition for electrical connector housings having increased resistance to tracking and the ability to cure the damage caused by tracking should it occur. A heat during silicone rubber and a non-curing silicone oil incompatible with the silicone rubber are combined with the liquid oil dispersed throughout the solid rubber and molded into desired shapes.

  • Patent number: 4204741
Abstract: An improved anode connector assembly for a cathode ray tube gives maximum shielding against x-ray emissions, maximum resistance to high voltage tracking and securely fastens to a standard anode button to prevent accidental removal or displacement. The assembly comprises a one-piece, generally U-shaped clip having surfaces which engage the inner and outer flange surfaces of a standard anode button so as to prevent rocking of the clip when secured within the button. The clip has provision for being securely mounted within a resilient rubber cap of light weight design, which is in pressure engagement with a maximum area of the tube to prevent tracking of the high voltage. A shield washer is mounted in the cap to coact with the clip and restrict x-ray radiation.

  • Patent number: 4155614
Abstract: An improved anode connector assembly for a cathode ray tube comprises a resilient rubber cap having a cavity receiving a U-shaped metal bracket which opens toward the outer end of the cavity. The bracket is interengaged with the cap against displacement relative thereto, and a bare end portion of an insulated anode supply conductor extends through the cap into overlying relationship with the bridge portion of the bracket and is bent to form a loop. A U-shaped metal clip having leg portions for engaging the anode button has its bridging portion disposed in the cap cavity in overlying relationship with respect to the conductor loop. A threaded fastener extends through the bridging portion of the clip, through the loop and into threaded engagement with the bridging portion of the bracket. The fastener secures the conductor wire between the bridging portions and secures the clip to the bracket against displacement from the cap cavity.
