Abstract: A top of a card table with a card dispensing hole therethrough and an arcuate edge is covered by a transparent dome shaped cover. A dealer position is centrally located on the table top. A plurality of player stations are evenly spaced along the arcuate edge. A rotatable card placement assembly includes an extendable arm that is connected to a card carrier that is operable to carry a card. In response to signals from the computer, the rotation of the assembly and the extension of the arm cause the card carrier to carry the card from the card dispensing hole to either the dealer position or any of the player positions. The card carries a bar code identification thereon. A bar code reader of the card carrier provides a signal representation of the identification of the card to the computer.

Abstract: An encoder/diverter unit for use with a coin acceptor/rejector of a coin-actuated machine such as a gaming machine. The unit has the encoder portion coupled together with the diverter portion so that the encoder and diverter portions move with each other as a solenoid shifts the unit to divert coins from a first chute to a second chute. The encoder/diverter unit is formed of separable parts, including a basic body and an insert wall removably coupled to the basic body to pass coins of a first size and denomination. By changing the insert, the unit can be modified to pass coins of another size and denomination.

Abstract: An improved coin operated and handling apparatus having a coin acceptor, a hopper payout assembly, coin storage chamber and a coin tray includes a coin diverter assembly located downstream from the hopper payout assembly between the coin storage chamber and coin tray.
