Harold Eugene Wixon has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 4085243
Abstract: Aqueous solutions of anionic surfactants are effective fabric softeners which can be sprayed directly onto washable textile fabrics. In addition, the solutions impart soil-release properties to the fabrics. A silicone resin may be incorporated into the solution to provide a spray-on ironing aid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 3, 1974
Date of Patent: April 18, 1978
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
Inventors: Annie Sue Giordano, Richard Lerda Burke, Harold Eugene Wixon
  • Patent number: 4049557
Abstract: Novel fabric conditioning compounds are formed by reacting a higher alkyl-1, 2-epoxide with a lower alkanediamine. The compounds may be incorporated into a laundry product and used in the wash cycle or may be applied in either the wash cycle or the rinse cycle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 23, 1974
Date of Patent: September 20, 1977
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
    Inventor: Harold Eugene Wixon
  • Patent number: 4013577
Abstract: A biodegradable heavy duty dry detergent composition including a higher fatty alkyl polyethoxy sulfate and a nonphosphate builder, the composition exhibiting outstanding hard water resistance. A preferred composition includes a compound of the formula RO(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.3 SO.sub.3 Na wherein R is a mixed fatty alkyl of from 12-15 carbon atoms and a non-phosphate builder selected from carbonates, silicates, citrates, oxydiacetates, polycarboxylates, etc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 14, 1972
Date of Patent: March 22, 1977
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
    Inventor: Harold Eugene Wixon
  • Patent number: 4000077
Abstract: A fabric softening composition having improved softening and whitening properties comprising a cationic quaternary softener, preferably an imidazolinium softener, and a higher aliphatic alcohol sulfate in the weight ratio of 10:1 to 2:1 of cationic: alcohol sulfate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 4, 1972
Date of Patent: December 28, 1976
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company

  • Patent number: 3954679
Abstract: The viscosity of an aqueous alpha-olefin sulfonate detergent composition is reduced by treating such composition, usually at a concentration of 30 to 60%, with a viscosity reducing proportion, usually from 2 to 20%, of a water soluble inorganic halide salt, preferably sodium chloride. By reducing the viscosity, detergent compositions containing the alpha-olefin sulfonate detergent are made more readily pourable, pumpable and sprayable, facilitating their use in liquid detergents and in spray dried particulate form. Because the addition of halide salt may cause separation into different phases it is possible to increase the concentration of the alpha-olefin sulfonate by utilizing the phase richer in content of such detergent material.

  • Patent number: 3951879
Abstract: A laundry detergent which simultaneously cleans and substantially reduces the static-cling on synthetic fabrics comprising essentially an organic detergent, a maximum of 1% quaternary ammonium compound and 0.5-1.0% of a water soluble inorganic or organic calcium or magnesium salt by weight of the total formulation.
