  • Publication number: 20240049625
Abstract: A brush attachment system with a first module that has a mounting bracket, an arm support, an arm, and an elongated member. The mounting bracket is configured to mount onto a first side of the turfgrass mower. The arm support is coupled to the mounting bracket and the arm has a first end that is pivotally coupled to the arm support. The second end of the arm is configured to couple with a turfgrass brush. The arm is configured to rotate between an active position in which the arm extends towards the front of the turfgrass mower and an inactive position in which the arm is lifted away from the front of the turfgrass mower. The elongated member is configured to extend through the turfgrass mower to a second side of the turfgrass mower and exert a force on the brush attachment system toward the turfgrass mower.

  • Publication number: 20240049643
Abstract: A brush attachment system for a turfgrass mower with a crossbeam, a brush mount, and left and right mounting brackets. The brush mount is suspended from the crossbeam and is configured to support a brush. The left and right mounting brackets are attached to the left and right ends of the crossbeam, respectively. Each of the mounting brackets may have a bracket plate and a clamp. The bracket plate has a clamping surface, and the clamp is configured to butt against the clamping surface of the bracket plate. Slots extend into the bracket plate and slots extend into the clamp. The slots align when the clamp butts against the clamping surface to form holes through the mounting brackets. The brush attachment system is configured to attach to the turfgrass mower by passing two crossbars of the turfgrass mower through the holes of the mounting brackets.

  • Patent number: 11252862
Abstract: A turfgrass brushing assembly and system is disclosed. A frame assembly may be configured to removably couple to a mower cutting unit, and may have a cross member and two opposing side plates. Each side plate may include an array of holes and a pivot coupling configured to pivotally couple the turfgrass brushing assembly to the mower cutting unit. Each side plate may be releasably coupled to a different end of the cross member through at least one hole of the array of holes. A brush holder assembly may be adjustably coupled to the frame assembly, and may have a brush block coupling configured to couple to a brush. An angle adjustment assembly may be coupled to the brush holder assembly and the cross member. The angle adjustment assembly may pivot to adjust a relative angle of the brush holder assembly with respect to the frame assembly.

  • Patent number: 10368483
Abstract: This application describes a turfgrass mowing system having one or more turfgrass mower cutting units and one or more turfgrass brushing assemblies. The turfgrass brushing assemblies are pivotally coupled to the turfgrass mower cutting units with a pivot coupling on a frame assembly of the turfgrass mower cutting units. The turfgrass brushing assemblies include a brush holder assembly coupled to the frame assembly with a vertically adjustable coupling, an angle adjustable coupling, or both. A brush is coupled to the brush holder assembly of each turfgrass brushing assemblies. With the turfgrass brushing assemblies pivotally coupled to the turfgrass mower cutting units, a user may brush turfgrass with the turfgrass system to stand the turfgrass upright immediately before cutting the turfgrass with the turfgrass mower cutting unit, thus improving the cut of the turfgrass.
