  • Patent number: 5676376
Abstract: A composite gaming chip which includes a strong frame made of a brass ring with axial protrusions and a central aperature with notches. A display or electronic transponder is situated between two clear polycarbonate disks each having a recessed face surrounded by a rim. Tabs radially extending from each disk engage the notches in the brass ring. The assembly is inserted into the cavity of a plastic injection mold where it is bonded together by an injected thermoplastic. The gaming chip can be ground flat without scratching the clear recessed face of either disk.

  • Patent number: 5279005
Abstract: A tub spout which receives water from a water source via a source pipe is capable of diverting water received from the source pipe and includes a hollow spout having an outlet and an inlet, a rear cap removably assembled at the inlet has a rear aperture for allowing water from the source pipe to enter the hollow spout, valve means are removably disposed in the hollow spout for blocking water flow from the rear aperture to the outlet, and control means are connected to the valve means for regulating the valve means for controlling water flow through the hollow spout.

  • Patent number: 5165727
Abstract: Coupling for connecting the end of a hose or a pipe to an external threaded shaft includes a nipple and a coupling nut. The nipple has a bore extending along the length of its longitudinal axis and connects at one end to the end of the hose to be connected. An external annular groove is included and an external threaded segment is disposed adjacent such groove. The coupling nut has two end portions. A first end portion includes a first internal threaded nut segment disposed therein for threadedly engaging the external threaded segment of the nipple. A second end portion has a second internal threaded segment disposed therein for threadedly engaging the external threaded shaft.

  • Patent number: 4877278
Abstract: A shaft of a door handle to be installed in a door includes a limited length threaded segment for engaging a commensurately threaded rose to effect penetration and subsequent threaded disengagement therebetween. The threaded disengagement permits relative rotation without axial displacement and axial withdrawal of the shaft is prevented due to interference between the threaded segments. Upon positional locking of the rose with the door and mating of the door handle with a door bolt, the resulting limited relative rotation between the door handle and the rose in combination with the axial displacement limited by the interfering thread segments prevent threaded disengagement and removal of the door handle.

  • Patent number: 4763693
Abstract: A swivel spout sub-assembly is disclosed for use on water faucets with the swivel spout sub-assembly being of simplified configuration to provide facile assembly and disasembly thereof. The swivel spout sub-assembly includes a water output nipple on the faucet and a swivel spout structure including a shroud body having an axial bore in which the nipple is coaxially disposed. The shroud body and the nipple are especially configured to interact with each other to provide a means for assembling the spout structure on the nipple, allow the spout structure to be moved in a swivel motion about the nipple and prevent unintentional removal of the spout structure from the nipple.

  • Patent number: 4728133
Abstract: A door handle assembly for rotatably coupling a door handle to a spindle, latching mechanism, and a door. The assembly includes an adapter member connected to the door handle and slidingly receiving the spindle. A rosette associated with the spindle is sandwiched between the door handle and adapter member to provide rotatable coupling between the handle and the door. The assembly permits use of standardized length elements on doors of differing thicknesses.
