  • Patent number: 5828303
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for facilitating instruction of electronic security and electronic access control, wherein the apparatus of the present invention may be used to provide instruction in electrical circuit theory as well as practical design, installation, and troubleshooting of electronic security and electronic access control systems. All of the devices necessary to construct, such circuits are mounted in close physical proximity to each other upon an installation mock-up frame and may be used in conjunction with a working model of a hinged door mounted to such frame. Furthermore, most or all of the devices are connected to a system of terminal blocks which greatly facilitates interconnection of the devices into an electronic circuit without blocking the space required to open the door. Finally, the apparatus includes an integral power supply for providing power to the electronic circuit thus assembled.
