  • Patent number: 4865275
Abstract: A multi-media craft particularly designed and constructed for efficient and economical utilization on land, water and in the air and comprising a light weight body constructed in modular form for economy and power by a removable lightweight engine of the motorcycle type for fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance. The craft is provided with forward and rearward sections constructed in a manner for variable in-flight or in-use alteration or molding thereof for achieving the optimum planar or contour design for the craft as required during variable fluid conditions when airborne, thus providing efficient and safe flying operation for either an unskilled or skilled operator.

  • Patent number: 4585927
Abstract: Apparatus for presenting tidetable data in a form visually readable to the average person in terms of the year, month, day and hour of occurrence, exacting information regarding current flow, i.e. the direction of current flow, the relative strength of current flow, and the period of current flow, at a given location. A preferred apparatus is comprised of a stator, and slide. The stator is suitably an elongate member along a horizontal side of which days of the week are scribed and scaled off in consecutive order, preferably with each daily period being further sub-divided into a morning period and evening period. The morning and evening periods are in turn sub-divided into hourly periods. A vertical scale provided on the stator ranges from a base line of zero upwardly, or in a positive direction, to a high point representative of the tidal range, and downwardly below the base line of 0, or in a negative direction, to a low point representative of the tidal range.

  • Patent number: 4190068
Abstract: A linearly movable irrigation system, according to the present invention, may include a plurality of interconnected power driven irrigation spans supporting a water supply conduit, which sections are capable of moving over a land area and depositing a controlled amount of water thereon. At one extremity of the irrigation system may be provided a steerable and powered mover unit that accepts water from a water supply system and conducts it to the overhead irrigation pipe under sufficient pressure to cause proper distribution of water through sprinkler devices located along the length of the irrigation conduit. A power driven pump may be supported by the steerable mover unit in order to pressurize or provide boosting pressure for the water received from the water supply. The steerable mover unit is adapted to steerably move in proximity to an elongated reference which may be straight or curved as desired.
