The light-transmissive fixture has a surface, and a light-emitting diode (LED) assembly is applied to the surface to illuminate the light-transmissive fixture. An encasement is applied to the surface of the light-transmissive fixture encasing the LED assembly to substantially isolate the LED assembly from environmental influences.
