  • Patent number: 5007755
Abstract: A package cosmetic product includes container structure that has application surface structure at one end, dispensing structure at the opposite end that is movable towards the application surface structure, and gelled cosmetic material disposed in the container between the dispensing structure and the application surface structure. The application surface structure has an application surface with an array of dispensing ports, each port being at the end of and in direct communication with an elongated distribution passage. The array of distribution passages is defined by an interconnected array of elongated divider webs shaped to provide each distribution passage with a flared entrance port and a relieved dispensing port region at the application surface.

  • Patent number: 4359292
Abstract: A cosmetic dispenser is disclosed which include a socket having a dispensing opening and three orthogonal axes, one axis extending through the socket and the other two lying substantially in the plane thereof. An applicator member is retained in the socket and has an upper portion extending exteriorly of the dispensing opening and a skirt portion substantially retained within the socket. The applicator is adapted for rotation about the three axes, but stop means limit rotation of the applicator member about the two axes in the plane of the socket. In this manner when rotation occurs about the axes of limited rotation, the dispenser is operable to feed cosmetic across the skirt portion to the upper portion of the applicator member for application to a surface to be treated with the cosmetic.

  • Patent number: 4143668
Abstract: A roller-type cosmetic applicator is described featuring a cap of T-configuration adapted to fit on the outlet of a product container. The head portion of the cap has an integral cylindrical bearing element through which extends an axle having two rollers affixed at opposite ends. The axle has a reduced central portion defining a chamber between the axle and the bearing element. The chamber is in communication with the container, and, through two small openings, with the uppermost portion of the cap, where the product is delivered for distribution by the rollers. In one embodiment the reduced portion of the axle is provided with vanes comprising an impeller, which when rotated with the rollers and axle, assist dispensing of the product.

  • Patent number: 4128862
Abstract: A lamp mounting having a terminal post providing a rest surface for one side of a lamp terminal of normally regular rectangular shape and a clamping member formed for engagement with the opposite side of the lamp terminal for clamping the latter onto the post and a link pivoted to the post and clamping member, and means applying a resilient force to the link for tightening the clamping member onto the lamp terminal and providing a resiliently yieldable engagement of the lamp terminal between the terminal post and clamping member.

  • Patent number: 4122978
Abstract: A pressurized dispensing package includes a container in which the product to be dispensed and a gaseous propellant are stored. The product is dispensed through a discharge passage that extends from a control valve to a terminal orifice. A plural passage flow control member is disposed in the discharge passage. Each passage of the flow control member has a flow dimension in the range of one to one hundred microns and the length of the flow control member several times the passage flow dimension so that a significant pressure drop occurs across the flow control member as the product flows through the member. The total flow area of the flow control passages disposed in the discharge passage is greater than the area of the terminal orifice but less than fifty percent of the area of the discharge passage in which the flow control member is located.

  • Patent number: 3960343
Abstract: A lightweight, high-strength duct comprised of two thin annular tubes, one fitted within the other, the outer tube having spaced annular stiffening beads extending radially outwardly therefrom, and one of the tubes being vented to prevent pressure differentials between the inner surface of the outer tube and the outer surface of the inner tube at various altitudes and temperatures.
