Abstract: A bed dispenser assembly includes a container and a main housing. The container is configured to contain hand sanitizer within its interior. The container includes a stem that is in fluid communication with the interior of the container. The stem is actuatable relative to the remainder of the container between an open position and a closed position. Hand sanitizer is allowed to exit the container through an open end of the stem when the stem is in the open position. Hand sanitizer is prevented from exiting the container through the open end of the stem when the stem is in the closed position. The main housing is configured to be positioned on a bed. The main housing defines a cavity configured to receive the container.

Abstract: A system includes a bed zone boundary module and a user interface device (UID) control module. The bed zone boundary module is configured to detect when at least one of a first wearable dispenser assembly and an identification badge is within a boundary of a zone around a bed, and generate a sanitize reminder signal when at least one of the first wearable dispenser assembly and the identification badge is within the zone boundary. The UID control module is configured to, in response to the sanitize reminder signal, control a user interface device to generate a message reminding a person wearing at least one of the first wearable dispenser assembly and the identification badge to use hand sanitizer before approaching a patient in the bed.
