  • Patent number: 6905104
Abstract: A sign-in device having a privacy screen provides a clipboard which supports a sign-in sheet for patent or visitor sign-in purposes. An elongated spool of substantially opaque flexible sheet material is held within a housing or support of the paper clamp. An elongated header bar is movably attached to a side margin of the board. An exposed end margin of the opaque material is attached to the header bar whereby movement of the header bar along the length of the clipboard causes the opaque material to be withdrawn from the spool forming the privacy screen which covers and conceals a selected portion of the sign-in sheet which includes the names and/or signatures of previously signed-in patients or visitors.

  • Patent number: 5326797
Abstract: A roofing system incorporates a fire resistant asphalt composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer modified bitumen, a filler, a brominated diphenyl ether, antimony oxide, and zinc borate. The asphalt composition is utilized with and impregnated into at least one layer of fiberglass or polyester mat. Preferably at least two layers are utilized wherein an upper layer is a fiberglass mat and a lower layer is a polyester mat, both mat layers being impregnated with the composition. In its preferred formulation, the asphalt composition comprises, in weight percent, about 30% to 90% bitumen, about 4% to 16% styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer, about 10% to 40% filler, and up to about 20% each of the brominated diphenyl ether, the antimony oxide, and the zinc borate. The preferred brominated diphenyl ether is decabromodiphenyl ether.

  • Patent number: 4876798
Abstract: An illuminated level includes a main frame providing parallel spaced-apart flat plane working surfaces connected together by a flat main frame web. The web is provided with three main frame sight ports extending therethrough. A bubble vial is positioned across each of the main frame sight ports. First and second side plates are positioned, one on either side of the web. Mounted on one of these side plates in adjacent relation to the web are six light emitting diodes, each positioned in adjacent relationship to an end portion of one of the three bubbles vials. A switch and a battery are also mounted to this side plate as are appropriate electrical conductors. The electrical conductors couple the light emitting diodes, the battery and the switch to cause energization of the light emitting diodes when the switch is actuated.
