    Abstract: Techniques for accomplishing slide transitions in a presentation are disclosed. In accordance with these techniques, each object on a slide is individually manipulable during slide transitions. In certain embodiments, the presence of an object on both the outgoing and incoming slides may be taken into account during slide transition. Likewise, in certain embodiments, derivative objects, such as shadows or reflections, may be handled as distinct objects in generating a transition between slides.
