  • Patent number: 9683919
Abstract: A viscometer cell attachment device which greatly improves efficiency, accuracy, precision, and safety when testing viscosity of a substance with a viscometer. The viscometer cell attachment device generally allows dangerous, high pressure, potentially explosive/flammable methane/fluids in a viscometer cell to be partially removed and contained safely, sheared by a constriction member, generally comprised of a length of OD tubing, which generates foams/emulsions, and then put back in the viscometer cell. The invention can be attached to some types of viscometers. It can handle methane safely and can be used to produce homogeneous methane/fluids foams/emulsions by repeating the process.
