Abstract: A charging apparatus includes one or more charging ports and monitors incoming voltage. If the charging apparatus detects a decrease in the incoming voltage it limits charging power in a charging port. If there are several active charging ports a priority configuration can be used for prioritizing different charging ports.

Abstract: A mining vehicle includes a traction mechanism for propelling the mining vehicle, a traction motor for driving the traction mechanism, a cable connection for connecting the mining vehicle to an external source of electric energy, and an electric power link between the cable connection and the traction motor for conveying electric energy from said cable connection to said traction motor. The electric power link includes a DC power link. The mining vehicle also includes a traction DC/AC converter for converting DC power from the DC power link into AC power for feeding into the traction motor.
