  • Patent number: 6501039
Abstract: The present invention relates to a switch device for controlling electrical equipment. Such a switch device comprises a body piece (15), a sliding member (14) and contact surfaces controlled by the sliding member (14), means for latching the sliding member (14) into a closed/open position of the switch and for unlatching the sliding member (14) from said positions, a spring-arming plate (11) and switch actuator springs (10). The invention is implemented by making a slot (33) into the sliding member (14) that controls the second movable set of contact surfaces in the switch and adapting compatible interlock means (34) to the housing or body piece (15) of the switch, said interlock means serving to inhibit the movement of said sliding member (14) by virtue of partially entering the slot (33) made into the sliding member (14).

  • Patent number: 6459353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fused switch housing (1) suited to accommodate at least one fuse adapter (2) having a first and a second contact surface (10). The fused switch housing (1) comprises a first and a second set of terminals (15) for respectively connecting the fused switch to a first and a second external circuit, stationary contacts (12, 15, 16), and at least one moving contact (13). The fused switch housing also includes switching means cooperating with each of said moving contacts (13) for making an electrical connection between each of said first terminals (15) respectively with each of said first contact surfaces (10) as well as for making an electrical connection between each of said second terminals (15) respectively with each of said second contact surfaces (10) so that at least one of said connections with said contact surfaces is openable by moving said at lest one moving contact (13) with the help of said switching means.

  • Patent number: 5736698
Abstract: A manually operated switch device for the control of electrical equipment, wherein the electrical elements of the switch are assembled in a housing and the mechanical elements are mounted on a body piece attached to the housing. At least one linearly transferrable slide member communicates with the body piece, the slide member having contact or guide surfaces adapted to cooperate with the stationary contacts. To the slide member is connected via at least one spring-type element, a power-spring-arming plate which is movable in parallel relationship with the slide member, in such a manner that during the movement of the power-spring-arming plate, the slide member is correspondingly moved under the force exerted by the power springs. By virtue of this arrangement, the switching phase always occurs in a consistent manner, irrespective of the speed used for rotating the switch operating lever.
