  • Patent number: 11247111
Abstract: A sports ball throwing machine lift (SBTML) includes a first machine upright post and a second machine upright post that are configured to attach to a sports ball throwing machine. The SBTML further comprises a rod connected vertically between the first machine upright post and the second machine upright post. The SBTML further comprises a base, a plurality of wheels attached to a lower surface of the base, and an upright post that extends up from the base. The SBTML further comprises a lifting bar that is pivotably connected to an upper portion of the upright post. The SBTML further comprises a lifting device configured to cause the lifting bar to lift the rod. The lifting device includes a mechanical jack or an electric actuator.

  • Publication number: 20030233204
Abstract: An uncalibrated sensor located at a first location relative to a physical phenomenon is calibrated using a calibrated sensor spaced away from the uncalibrated sensor at a second location relative to the physical phenomenon and a frequency-domain transfer function that relates the physical phenomenon at the second location to the output of the uncalibrated sensor.

  • Patent number: 6647287
Abstract: Methods and systems reconstruct and verify aortic blood pressure waveforms from peripheral blood pressure waveform data using mathematical models. The models combine analytical models of pulse wave propagation in the cardiovascular system with empirical models derived from measurements taken from human subjects. When used to reconstruct the aortic pressure of a given subject, the models are adjusted to the subject and the subject's physiological state based upon measurements performed on the subject's cardiovascular system.

  • Patent number: 3943030
Abstract: In an apparatus comprising a non-circular rotary mandrel on which a strip of paper or a similar sheet material is wound to form a multilayer tubular article, the material entering the mandrel is subjected to pressure thereagainst by means of a roller unit including at least two pairs of rollers. Both pairs of rollers are independently and pivotably suspended in a common carrier so that all of the rollers may continuously and independently apply a surface pressure to the material being wound onto the mandrel.
