  • Patent number: 7461972
Abstract: A low power analog linear temperature sensor integrateable with digital and/or analog circuits in CMOS fabrication processes. The sensor is accurately calibrateable at a single temperature that yields a linear relationship between measured differential voltage and temperature over a wide variety of temperature ranges. The sensor provides stable voltage and current references that are essential for wireless sensor platforms. There are many applications where sensors require stable voltage/current references and the physics of the sensor's transduction mechanisms are themselves temperature dependent. Wireless platforms such as, but not limited to, passive RFID tags with the addition of on- or off-chip sensors provide a low cost solution for a variety of low cost sensor applications.

  • Patent number: 6689815
Abstract: Dinitrohalogenated compounds may be utilized by injection in certain clinical situations to provide a possibility of long term control of human malignancy. In some of those settings no other treatment offers such potential. Preparation methods may include acetone, olive oil, microsomes, liposomes, or combinations thereof. Optimum pretreatment management, dosing and injection techniques are described. The unique aspects of the claims included herein include the methods of preparation of the chemical, the technique of injection, the dosage of each injection, and the range of potential tumor histologies. These techniques have resulted for example in successful treatment of locally metastatic scalp melanoma, the treatment for which had previously been uniformly unsuccessful. This example is particularly significant since this is one example of a site that is not otherwise amenable to successful treatment when affected by multiple progressive metastatic nodules.

  • Patent number: 4633218
Abstract: Digital data is transmitted over AC power lines at typically a 300 baud rate and at a frequency of 130 kilohertz representing a binary ONE and 131 kilohertz representing a binary ZERO. Apparatus in the receiver relay including a quadrature detector converts the high frequency signals to digital binary signals which are applied to a microprocessor. The microprocessor generates signals to control relays in accordance with the information received from the AC power lines.
