Patent number: 11885143Abstract: An oval cover member is formed of high density polyethylene and sized to cover a pocket in which a lift member is secured to a pre-cast concrete structural member. The cover member can be secured to the lift member by a cable tie threaded through the opening of a first protrusion, back through a smaller opening in a second protrusion and pulled to draw the cover member tightly against the concrete structural member. The opposing protrusions form a valley therebetween for the positioning of the lift member. The size of the smaller opening in the second protrusion is too small for the passage of the head of the cable tie, enabling the cover member to be tightly secured to the lift member. A peripheral channel in the cover member can receive a gasket or adhesive that can seal the cover member against the surface of the concrete structural member.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2020Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Inventor: Harry A. Thompson

Patent number: 11118360Abstract: A blockout apparatus, for use in creating passageways through prefabricated concrete structural members, has at least one hanger members integrally molded with the blockout apparatus as a dome projecting above the body of the blockout member that can be used to support conduits inserted through the passageway. A wedge nut can be inserted into the hanger members and twisted to lock the wedge nut in place. The wedge nut can be installed before the blockout apparatus is positioned within the concrete form for the manufacture of the prefabricated concrete structural member, or after the concrete structural member has been formed. Typical usage of the blockout apparatus is to create passageways through the T-Beam of Double-T panels so that conduits can pass through the void corresponding to the blockout apparatus. Mounting devices that support the conduits can be engaged with the wedge nut and provide support for one or multiple conduits.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2020Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Inventor: Harry A. Publication number: 20160298329Abstract: An inverted elongated ovalized cylindrical grout tube has reinforcing ribs to retain the tube in position in a pre-cast concrete member and to provide added strength to the grout/structural rod connection as it hardens so as to provide greater strength to a pre-cast concrete wall. The upper end of the grout tube has an integrated bellows-like connector that extends between the inverted grout tube and a grout fill spout which is capable of creating any of a number of angles between the grout tube and the fill spout to provide for the easy flow of grout into the tube from a point external to the pre-cast concrete wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2015Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventor: Harry A Thompson

Publication number: 20120077634Abstract: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) responsive to a device for supplying a rotational force. The transmission comprises a planetary gear system that further comprises: a control element, an output element, and an input element caused to rotate responsive to the device for supplying rotational force. The output element is engaged with the control element and the input element. The CVT further comprises a control module comprising a controllable brake connected to the control element for allowing the control element to rotate freely, for stopping the control element and for slowing the control element to a speed between free rotation and stopped.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2011Publication date: March 29, 2012Inventor: Harry Thompson

Publication number: 20100115879Abstract: An elongated cylindrical tube with reinforcing ribs that can be placed within a pre-cast concrete wall section for use in joining with other wall sections having a drain preformed into the bottom of the grout tube with a nipple-like attachment positioned within the drain opening of the grout tube. The nipple-like attachment has circumferential pyramidal ridges for connecting to and retaining a water release tube allowing for the egress of any water, moisture or debris that may have collected within the grout tube to prevent deterioration or cracking of the concrete from the expansion of water freezing within the wall section or from retained debris weakening the wall connection joint.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2008Publication date: May 13, 2010Inventor: Harry A. Patent number: 6089231Abstract: A contoured micro-condom has been designed together with a self-contained easy and carefree combination applicator and package. The micro-condom, which has a thin impervious sheath in the general shape of the glans penis head contours, has a thicker elastic band around its open end. The micro-condom's band is positioned securely and is contained within an apperature within the retainer frame of the applicator/package, the apperature having sufficient width to accommodate the diameter of a nominal erect glans penis head. In this position, the contoured or other micro-condom is covered at its closed end by a unidirectional releasing top cover, and is covered on its open end by another removable lower cover. Thus, it is protected from the outside environment, and ready to be applied using a few quick, easy and carefree steps.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1997Date of Patent: July 18, 2000Inventor: Harry Thompson

Patent number: 5528867Abstract: A cover member that engages a hook member formed into a precast, reinforced concrete block. The hook member assists in the lifting, transporting and manipulating of the precast, reinforced concrete block. The cover member is formed of a water resistant, flexible and resilient material. Preferably, the cover member has a shape similar to a hat with the apex of the crown thereof being opened by way of an inwardly tapered aperture having at least one slit therein. The tapered aperture has an entrance portion dimensioned to accommodate the insertion of the head of the hook and an exit portion dimensioned to engage the shank of the hook. A slit of the aperture is dimensioned to allow the exit portion of the aperture to rigidly engage the shank of the hook as the precast, reinforced concrete block encounters movement.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 1994Date of Patent: June 25, 1996Inventor: Harry A. Patent number: 5207155Abstract: Objects (11) for example canned goods are carried by a conveyor (1) towards a support device which is formed by spaced runs of two drive belts (2, 3). The objects (11) are deflected off the conveyor (1) by an oblique section (7) of the run of one belt (2) and are gripped between the runs (12, 14) of the two belts (2, 3). When the belts (2, 3) are driven the objects (11) are transported over a printing head (5) which applies matter to the underside. The objects (11) are directed back onto the conveyor (1) by a deflector rail (6) and a further oblique section (8) of the one belt (2).Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1992Date of Patent: May 4, 1993Inventor: Harry Thompson

Patent number: 4618745Abstract: An actuating mechanism for a circuit breaker includes a pair of contacts supported relative to a frame. One of the contacts is supported on a contact arm which is displaceable about a pivot to open and close the contacts. A releasable latch holds a rotatable cradle arm in latched position against the bias of an over-center spring connected between the contact arm and the cradle arm to bias the contact arm into over-center positions. An actuating link is coupled with the contact arm. When the cradle arm is held in the latched position, movement of the link from a first position to a second position displaces the contact arm pivot over center, causing the over-center spring to move the contact arm to close the contacts.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1985Date of Patent: October 21, 1986Assignee: Heinemann Electric CompanyInventor: Harry A.
