  • Patent number: 5579692
Abstract: A rubber stamp is disclosed which produces a special effect when the stamp is pressed against a medium to be imprinted therewith. The stamp is comprised of a handle and a plurality of die mounts with images thereon which are interchangeable upon the handle. The special effect which is generated by operation of the rubber stamp is determined by the image mounted thereon. A plurality of special effects are provided within the rubber stamp which correlate with a plurality of images attachable thereto. The special effects generated by the stamp can include audible (sounds and/or voice and/or music), light (patterns and/or sequences), and/or aromas. A cavity in the plastic handle of the rubber stamp contains the electronic circuitry necessary to provide the special effects messages.

  • Patent number: 5410962
Abstract: A rotatable rubber stamp device is disclosed which produces a special effect when the stamp is pressed against and/or rolled across a medium to be imprinted therewith. The special effects generated by the stamp can include audible (speech, sound and/or music), visual (light patterns and/or sequences, and displays). A cavity in the plastic handle of the housing of the stamp device contains the electronic circuitry necessary to provide the special effects messages. A sensor, such as a spring-metal, lever-action switch, is affixed within a support bracket for a translatable axle of the rotatable stamp device mount, so as to trigger the electronic circuitry to issue the special effects message in response to the imprinting of a visual image from the rubber stamp upon the desired medium.

  • Patent number: 5195920
Abstract: The self-contained sound effects system for a model radio controlled toy vehicle. The conventional internal control signals of the vehicle are detected by the present invention and are utilized to generate realistic sound effects on board the vehicle. The sound data and programming necessary to coordinate the realistic sound effects with the conventional on-board control signals are entirely contained on the vehicle. A microprocessor is used to provide the coordination of the sound data with the programming and the microprocessor modifies the sound effects with any changes in the on-board control signals by varying the pitch, timbre, amplitude, and the like of the sound effects. A communications port is also provided on the vehicle so that when connected with a remote computer, the sound data and programming can be selectively modified by the operator to add new sound effects or to change current sound effects and operating software.

The special effects generated by the stamp can include audible (sound and/or music), light (patterns and/or sequences), and/or aromas. A cavity in the wood block of the rubber stamp contains the electronic circuitry necessary to provide the special effects messages. A sensor is affixed within the wood block, such as a pressure sensitive switch between the block and the rubber stamp, so as to trigger the electronic cicuitry to issue the special effects message simultaneously with the imprinting of a visual image from the rubber stamp upon the desired medium.
