  • Patent number: 10916163
Abstract: A display system useful for achieving a wide field of view infinity effect. The system includes a frame assembly adapted for mounting on a wall of viewing space. The system includes a display element with a display surface. The system includes a magnifying lens supported within the frame assembly with a rear surface facing the display surface and with a front surface facing the viewing space. The rear surface of the magnifying lens is parallel to the display surface of the display element and is separated from the display surface by a separation distance less than a focal length of the magnifying lens, e.g., a value such that a ratio of the separation distance to the focal length is in the range of 0.169 to 0.254. The magnifying lens may be a Fresnel lens in the form of a planar plastic sheet manufactured to provide a flat spherical lens.

  • Publication number: 20090014596
Abstract: A long endurance powered aircraft includes a central spar, a propeller coupled to the central spar, and a wing coupled to the central spar. The wing includes a first spar and an opposing second spar. Leading ends of the first and second spars are coupled to the central spar and trailing ends of the first and second spars selectively diverge from the central spar to define a morphing wing configured change shape to optimize aircraft flight parameters in response to changes in at least one flight condition.

  • Publication number: 20040008157
Abstract: A monocular video/audio display system which is easily attachable to and detachable from a baseball cap visor or hat brim by means of a spring clip attached to the upper portion of a casing. An arm pivotally attached to the casing lower portion is attached to an optics assembly having a housing containing a display and backlight assembly. The optics assembly also includes a focus mechanism assembly and an eyecup. The housing is attached to a gimbal which is pivotable about the arm. The arm and gimbal pivot parallel to a reference plane determined by the interface between the casing upper and lower portions. The casing houses a circuit board including wireless receiver circuitry and a fractal antenna.

  • Patent number: 5481257
Abstract: A radio control toy incorporating a module containing a compact television camera, radio frequency transmitter and radio control receiver is described. The camera incorporates a lens system designed to record point of view impressions from the toy and a microphone to provide impressions of the audio environment for transmission by the radio frequency transmitter to a remote television module. The television module incorporates means to receive the video and audio transmissions from the camera and reproduce them via a television system and audio speaker associated with the television module. A control module allows an operator, viewing the television screen and hearing the audio sounds reproduced, to operate a set of controls associated with a control module and control signals derived from the position of the controls are transmitted by a radio control transmitter in the television module to the radio control receiver in the camera module.
