    Abstract: The specification relates to certain imido-oxamide-type compounds and derivatives thereof which are useful for preventing metal catalyzed oxidative degradation of polyolefins. The specification also relates to olefin homopolymer and copolymer compositions containing such compounds and derivatives thereof and to a method for enhancing the resistance of olefin homopolymers and copolymers against metal-catalyzed oxidative degradation by incorporating these compounds therein.

  • Process for preparation of 2-mercaptotoluimidazole and salts thereof

    Abstract: Process for the production of 2-mercaptotoluimidazole by reacting stabilized o-toluenediamine with carbon disulfide in a solvent and recovering the formed product by filtration. o-Toluenediamine is stabilized with hydrazine or its salts. Subsequently 2-mercaptotoluimidazole is converted to a metal salt.
