  • Publication number: 20180055023
Abstract: An ergonomic and reconfigurable landing net includes a horizontal handle and sling, which uniquely shifts weight placed on the landing net by a netted fish, such that excessive force is not placed on the user's wrist, as with traditional landing nets. The horizontal handle provides greater directional control over the net head and is adjustable, allowing the handle to be positioned in accordance with a user's physical attributes and/or needs. The landing net also includes a removable net head that allows the landing net to be reconfigured with net heads of varying shapes and sizes.

  • Patent number: 8584225
Abstract: Methods and systems for push channel authentication for mobile computing devices are provided. A mobile application may be supplied, and an indication that the application has been loaded on the mobile computing device may be processed. A device identifier received from the mobile computing device through a network may be processed, and corresponding information may be stored in an authentication information repository. An authentication key and an authentication token may be generated and sent separately to the mobile computing device through a push channel and through a second channel. That the mobile application has received the authentication key and the authentication token may be verified. A notification that the mobile application has received the authentication key and the authentication token may be processed. The notification may be validated at least in part with the information corresponding to the device identifier in the authentication information repository.

  • Publication number: 20110050020
Abstract: An electric motor or generator consists of a stator carrying pole pieces and their coacting coils, the stator being surrounded on one side by the field creating permanent magnets adjacent one face of the poles and on the other by a flux return path element positioned adjacent the other face of the poles. The stator coils are preferably bobbin mounted.

  • Patent number: 5795989
Abstract: The fabric abrasion testing device abrades a fabric sample in a predetermined manner such that the abrading process can be accurately and efficiently observed without halting the abrasion testing. The abrasion testing device includes at least one fabric sample holder for supporting the fabric sample. The abrasion testing device also includes an optically transmissive motion plate that, in a preferred embodiment, securely mounts an abrasion element having a removably engaged abrasive surface for abrading the fabric sample. The operator can therefore look through the motion plate to observe fabric wear during ongoing abrasion tests. The optically transmissive motion plate is operably connected to a motor for moving the motion plate and, in turn, the element mounted therethrough in a predetermined pattern relative to the fabric sample.

  • Patent number: 5732231
Abstract: An apparatus located in a funeral establishment for displaying information about a deceased person whose visitation is or was in the funeral establishment. The apparatus includes a terminal display with one or more visual displays for visually displaying images of the deceased and textual information about the deceased, and audio capabilities to play sound recordings of or about the deceased. The terminal display is mounted in or on a stand for viewing by both standing and sitting people. Further included in the apparatus, a storage memory stores audio recordings, visual images, and textual information about the decedent. Additional sound recordings, visual images, and textual information stored on audio and video cassettes may be received by the apparatus for inclusion in the memory storage through a cassette player. Similarly, information stored on CD-ROM and magnetic discs may be received for storage by the apparatus through respective player units.

  • Patent number: 4997046
Abstract: An automatic mechanical flue fire extinguishing system includes a pressurized container of fire-extinguishing material which communicates with a thermally sensitive valve installed in a flue pipe of a wood stove or the like near the bottom of the flue pipe. When a predetermined temperature is reached, a fusible metal disk within the valve melts, opening the valve and releasing the fire extinguishing material into the flue pipe, thereby extinguishing the flue fire. The fire extinguishing system may also be manually operated.
